Muddy - Deep, heavy mud due to rainy conditions

Sloppy - Usually due to a torrential downpour, a slippery wet surface with a firm base

Firm - The sun is shining and the turf course is dry

Good - The turf course has some moisture in it

Yielding - A slow, wet turf course

Soft - A wet turf course that can be slippery and heavy
