Type in your old password, then the new one twice, and
it will be changed.

Workouts
Workouts are here, giving a whole new dimension to training
your horse. Although workouts are currently in BETA mode (meaning we are
observing how they work and making adjustments as we see fit), soon they
will be an integral part of the game - required for yearlings before racing
and used to keep older horses fit. Here is a table showing the average
times that can be expected from your horse:
Distance |
Average Time |
2 furlongs |
:23.00 |
3 furlongs |
:37.5 |
4 furlongs |
:49.0 |
5 furlongs |
1:01.0 |
6 furlongs |
1:12.0 |
7 furlongs |
1:25.9 |
To give your horse a workout, go to a horse's page, and scroll down to
the Owner Actions:
You will see a list of all the possible distances and
surfaces that you can train your horse over. Select one best suited to
your horse, then click on Give This Horse a Workout.

When you do this, the horse will workout immediately.
Scroll down underneath the horse's races, and his last 10 workouts will
be shown.

How do you know what workouts are good to give your horse?
Obviously, that is your challenge as a trainer to figure out. Racehorses
don't need workouts in this game, however, workouts can benefit
a horse in both experience and in stamina. You can use workouts to gague
your horse's ability. However, a horse will also get tired from a workout.
Your trick is to decide how far out from a race you want to work your
horse, and how far. If your horse is a marathon runner, you don't want
to run the whole distance of the marathon too close to the race if at
all. You would rather train up to it.
You can only work your horse once a SIM week. Your horse
can have a workout the week of a race, however, unless you are
careful about how far your horse works, it may be too tired to run well
in the race. It is better to use workouts to get your horse ready for
a race in the weeks before hand, or to school it, or to find out for yourself
where your horse might excel.
All horses must have at least 2 workouts before they
can start racing.
Placing A Bet
Betting is open on raceday for about twenty hours. Races
are run Tuesdays and Fridays, so when the clock turns to midnight on those
days, races close. You can no longer enter or scratch, but you can place
a bet. However, betting must first be turned on.

Go to "My Profile" on your stable page.
There you will be able to enter your birthday.

You MUST be 18 to bet, even though we
are betting with fake money. If you are over 18, you will get the option
to turn betting on or off.

If you have turned it on, then on race day if you click
on "Entries" from any page you will see the list of races that
you can bet on. You can bet on as many horses per race as you'd like,
but you can only bet on each horse once. Click on "Betting Window"
to place a bet.

Make sure you confirm your bet by clicking "Place
Bet" on the confirm screen. $100 is the amount you can currently
bet on any horse, any time.

Once you have placed your bet, you can go back to your
stable page and click on "My Bets." There you will see a list
of the pending bets you have, and any winning payout that you recieve!
