Don't Make the Mistakes I Did

Original article written by Sten Rino Haakonsen posted 10 years 2 weeks ago

I am still pretty new to this game and far from an expert but even I learn something playing and what I really have learned from this is not to give up just because you make a couple of mistakes. We all make mistakes, but if you want to avvoid some of them then I will tell you about some of the mistakes I made so maybe you won't do the same ones.

Mistake 1 : Training Oooh sounds like fun I wanna train every horse every way I can!
This might sound like a good idea but it really isn't and it also made the wait for me to actually be able to race a horse even longer, so be patient check out when the horse was trained last before training it more and possibly injure it this will cost you money and this is probably at the start money you don't have.

Mistake 2: Oooooh Horses, I need lots and lots of horses!
YES you do need horses but not at any cost seeing as buying horses should be a process where you closely look at all horses check everything about the horses from breeding information till their training times, then when you are sure about a horse you might buy it and as I found it to begin with it's rarely wise to buy horses more expensive than $1000. At this price there is a big chance they might not be superstars but it won't be to hard for them to earn more than they cost. This way you can acftually buy quite a bit of horses but this way almost all of them can guarantee that you will get more back than you used.

Mistake 3: Thinking you can do this all by yourself

You probably can't, even if you are experienced from other games and help is something we all need to begin with either if it's from the forums or chat or the most important one from your mentor. This is something you should really get as a mentor is vital to getting started with in this game. They have the experience and will answer all your questions.

Mistake 4: Putting every horse you buy into a race as fast as you can

Only put up horses that hasn't raced for a couple of weeks and be careful to set up those you do put up for race in the correct race. This is something your mentor can help you with if you can't figure it out yourself. I know I did.

Mistake 5: Being very patient (not)

This might not seem a very big problem but as a lot of people don't have patience, it's actually very important to have patience in this game as when you get or buy a horse you can't expect him to turn into lots of cash in an instant. They don't do that they must be raced a lot of times and then hopefully with the right horses it will bring in money for you so you may be able to look at the market next time and buy a horse that might be a little better and bring in a little more money and this way you will slowly develop a stable to reckon with, as I hope to turn mine into.

I hope you have had some use of this article as I have had of all the articles I have read so far in my time here. I am probably not the wisest dude around but if you ever stumble upon me in chat or you want to send me a pm for whatever reason I will always try and answer to the best of my abilities. In this game we all depend on eachother so we should all try and help as much as we can. That helpfulness in people is one of the rasons i love this game so much even though I have only been here for 4 days.
