The Mixed Up Program Is Making A Come Back

Original article written by Mr. Lord Rich posted 9 years 0 weeks ago

I am very excited to announce that the mixed up program "MUP" is coming back starting in year 41. I have many ideas in my head for the new program and I can't wait to put them in play.

For those of you who don't already know, the MUP was designed to get new faces involved in the mixed breed community. This is done through start up packages to new players and various contests ran throughout the season. Both the start up packages and contests will be aimed towards new players to the game along with existing players that are new to a particular breed or division within the mixed breed community.

One of my major goals for the program is to have it sustain itself financially without having to rely on donations from players to keep it going. Some of the programs short term goals include getting the stable filled prize horses so that they can be awarded starting year 41, getting mares for the MUP so that it can start breeding its own prize horses, getting game point donations so that they can be used for sponsored MUP races and potentially getting a few studs into the program now so that it can already start earning some income.

The MUP can't race its own horses so it will have to rely on Breeder Awards once the MUP foals hit the track and Stud fees. Yes I mentioned stud fees which gets me excited as that will most likely be the programs easiest way to earn income for itself.

The Steward has already given me the green light to allow the MUP to stand studs for a reasonable fee so one of my first major goals in the program is to get some MUP studs standing.

Since the MUP account was disbursed, it is going to take some work to put it back together. My plan is for the program to start back up in year 41, but I actually need to start in year 40 with the breeding. This means that the new MUP foals will not reach racing age until year 42 so the only prize horses that will be given out will have to be donated by players from the community.

I will be reaching out directly to some of the major players within the mixer community for assistance, but anyone can help and there are many ways you can help. The more assistance I am able to obtain this season from the mixer community will make things that much easier for the MUP to reach its short term goals and move towards focusing on its long term goals.

Any donations can be sent directly to the mixed up program via the game.

Below are the types of donations that the MUP is looking for at this time.

Prize Horses:
Yearling Wow/Stakes or Scary/Special types Only. (All Breeds and Distances)

Free Broodmare Leases To MUP:
Formidable, Star or Blue Hen Only. (All Breeds and Distances)

Free Broodmare Gifts To MUP:
Same as above but instead of a lease, gift it permanently to the MUP.

Free Stud Fee Discounted Stud Fees:
The MUP will be using its own funds to breed the mares it owns so any discounts to the MUP would help out tremendously.

A Mixed Breed Sire On Short Term Lease To The MUP:
With this one you would need to gift a stud to the MUP. That stud will stand for the same fee it was already at with the previous owner. The length of time that the sire will remain with the MUP will be decided by the donating owner. All funds earned while the sire is with the MUP will go directly to the MUP's bank account.

For those of you that have got this far I thank you for taking the time to read this I am very excited for the future of this program and hope that we can make it grow and get more trainers involved in mixed breed racing.

-Pete
