Re: GP Horse Sale

How good will these stallion be compared to the OG Holiday stallions? Why are they being sold for 4,500GP (~SIM$50,000) per year of expected breeding life instead of being Steward-owned and then leased for, say, 20,000GP (or 45,000GP, or 100,000GP) per year? Why will they all have the same numbers w...

Re: Who Did You Use?

Congrats on the freaks, hope they do well for you! It's interesting that damsires of all of my freaks are sons of Always B Miki, including the only two Always B Lucky mares I sent him. Always B Miki liked Holy Roller mares and Mainstream is out of a Holy Roller mare, so maybe there's something ther...

Re: Gallops!

I can't support him with much myself, but my boy Riven Gold produced one stakes from the four mares I sent him. He also left his first freak this year. I sent a bunch of those mares I can never get rid of but can never justify spending a stud fee on (well-bred with poor BSA comments) to my old boy S...

Re: Who Did You Use?

Appy Sprinters: Eq Cab Etat x5, Monkey Brew x4, Custom Brew x4, Alien Lasers x2, Good Chrome Jet x2, One Holiday Jet. The first four are IMO the top four stallions in the division. I also sent two mares to my own stallion Good Chrome Jet, and sent his dam back to his sire One Holiday Jet for a full...

Re: Now 2 year olds - who's your fav?

I'm not the most personable... person in the SIM, so I doubt most people know I exist and those that do have had little or nothing to do with me. That said, when Zero Smith started playing I helped him out with some guidance and over the years we, while not exactly being thick as thieves, kept an ey...

Re: GP Stallion Question

I feel like I should know this but I don't :(

If I choose a Game Point stallion, since when can I opt to pay cash instead of points? Just how out of touch am I?

Re: Freaks gone

Oh, and my superbly bred Stakes Late Bloomer who I have been patiently waiting to hit peak (and hopefully upgrade) is STILL Stakes Late Bloomer, which I guess is cool, except she stinks at her current gallop level and I want her to reach her potential before she retires at the end of this season *e...

Re: Riven Gold (TS) retired

Thanks to other people posting flat A nicks for their new stallions (Bob with his SC winner Free From Fear and Laura with Desert Turf Sprint winner Northern Avenger ) I can confirm that Riven Gold has Flat A nicks with Domineer, Kilmainham Jail, Monday Is Coming, Seeyounexttuesday, and Yet Another M...

Re: Riven Gold (TS) retired

Within two hours of retiring Riven Gold has covered 11 mares, including the great Cat Named Boots . So that filly foal has two parents who are in the top twenty for all-time turf sprint earnings. If you nick some of your mares with Riven Gold, I'd love it if you could post the results in this thread...

Riven Gold (TS) retired

Riven Gold has been retired to stud. A late starter at two, he won a stakes race on debut before winning the Grade 1 Favorite Trick Stakes (the first leg of the 2yo Turf Triple) and splitting the top 2yos Dirk Provin and Feather’s Shadow – who between them had quinella’ed all three legs of Australi...

Re: A BIT OF A HEADSCRATCHER?

I don't know why the default naming rules changed, but hopefully it was for an important "make the SIM work better" reason to make up for the fact it makes keeping track of unnamed horses a lot trickier. It was important, actually - people were constantly getting "This name is already in use" when ...

Re: A BIT OF A HEADSCRATCHER?

I dont know how you all keep track of your yearlings without a name ??? Numbers are too confusing. I tend to breed foals in groups by division, with all of my mares in a division getting matings picked out, then being booked, then all bred immediately one after the other with 3-5 second gaps betwee...
