Done and done.

I'll be around for another couple of hours; if you post after that there's no guarantee I'll see it.

Re: A Good Trainer. A Definition.

Horses like Winx, Black Caviar and Zenyatta won a heap of races and a butt tonne of money and retired sound, sane and celebrated. Black Caviar took on the best of the best in both hemispheres and couldn't be beaten. Winx invited all-comers to take her on in some of the richest races in the world, a...

Re: A Good Trainer. A Definition.

Contrary opinions not welcome; I'm right. I really hope you're not serious about that part because thats just kind of childish if it is serious. I couldn't be less serious if I tried. It's a play on the last line of the OP. Did it really take us until 24 hours before festivus to get a thread going ...

Re: A Good Trainer. A Definition.

If your horse never loses, you aren't testing it enough. Think of those over-rated goats like Pepper's Pride or Zenyatta who racked up pretty records beating up nothing because their connections were cowards. Contrast them with true champions like Rachel Alexandra who took on the elite girls of her ...

Re: Atlantis Pride. Did you know he was named after Stews first horse?

Until today I didn't even know he was a dirt router. I could've sworn you had a stallion named Atlantis Pride back in the day, probably out of an Atlantis mare and with Quite the Feat in the sireline. I just KNEW the headshot had blinkers; I could picture it and everything. Yes, after hours of not b...

https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=1267556 Obsidian Fury x Epassant (Epiphaneia x Passant (Two Toned)). 3x3 to a male isn't ideal. Doubly so when I consider Two Toned to have a bit of a filly/broodmare sire bias and the RNG gave me a colt. But it's an A- nick, so we'll see what happens.

Re: How do horses like this work in breeding?

I assume this is some sort of specialty filly bred by the Steward for out-crossing and/or bringing in some sort of multi division breeding. https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=1158690 In this case the real-life stallion Roaring Lion passed away in New Zealand after he'd served his firs...

Re: Need Breeding Help - DR Mare - A+ hypo

I actually love Nighteyes for her because he gives you 3x3 to Maryland Million and 4x4 to Amber. She’s an A with all of my dirt router stallions, but I’d be trying to capitalise on how many blue hen mares she has in her pedigree. Back when Em needed help breeding the year she had the twins I was he...

Re: Who are the top pacer stallies

Catalyst and Scary Edgar are numbers 1 & 1a. Demons and Highland Billy are next best, but both are booked out for this season because they're underpriced (though I probably shouldn't have said that; I've asked Erica if she can open up some more spots to Billy because I have a big pile of mares I'd l...

Re: How Did Your Year Go?

The last week took the results from good to great; the first 15 weeks had two Grade 1 wins, Week 16 brought three SC wins from five runners. Ended up being my fifth-highest earning year. The stable is a bit more under control. I sold everything from my Secondary Racers barn, which didn't bring in mu...

From now until races open, horses are not resting. Training is unavailable. Day rate is not being charged. From when races open until the first day of races (Y56W1D1), horses are resting at approximately half the rate they would rest during the season. Day rate is being charged. From Y56D1 onwards, ...

Re: Son of a Paint SC winner

He's an outcross, being by a GP stallion and from a daughter of a QH mare. His second dam left a SC winner, as did his third dam. His third dam was Champion 2yo and won the Paint Juvenile Fillies Championship back before the SC for mixers existed. I went looking through AJ's barn for a mare to send ...
