Re: Silks!

https://www.simhorseracing.com/silks/0.jpg I got these silks around the same time I started in the SIM. I've thought of a bunch of other options, but none that stood above all the others or which I felt I really needed to have. It's sort of like tattoo ideas. If you come up with an idea for a tatto...

Re: Looking For 3 Definitive Answers

Double check where your horses are at! Sometimes people will retire a mare...and even breed her then a Sim year later, realize her and the foal are located at a $200 track....when they should have been sent to one's own free barn, or a $20 stable nearby. Horse Locations. Once the break starts and y...

Re: Jockeys performance

Back when I was a few years into the SIM I dropped a few thousand GPs on asking Duncan about some of the available jockeys. I eventually found one that had whatever the highest comment was at the time. I'm not sure what the best comment is, but I've checked the three jockeys available at the moment ...

Re: $5 million All Star Mile (Aussie)

I'm a Kiwi so had to vote for Waikato Stud-owned 3yo Super Seth. Fellow Kiwis Catalyst and Melody Belle were already in the field, Super Seth is on the bubble but I think if he wins the Group 1 Futurity Stakes vs the older horses this weekend he's in. Here's a replay of Alligator Blood vs Catalyst f...

Re: Chimborazo

He must have been an improver, judging by the 36.15 yearling work... The yearling work was with one piece, and he's galloped Stakes from the getgo (including his last gallop in Week 11 last year). That said he must be a pretty high stakes (if it wasn't obvious based on his performances), as when I ...

Re: Chimborazo

Thanks guys. I got some private congrats from Pete too, and I told him I was disappointed to see my boy draw the ace like he did last start when he missed Dirk by a nose. I thought the same may happen again, and even watching the replay I was sure it had until the placings came up. It's cool to win ...

Re: I’m curious...

I think at peak race her soon is not intermediate, I think that comment means this horse will not be better than it is now and will only decline, the intermediate is peak can’t predict future because the horse still has a chance to improve "This horse looks to be a late bloomer. You should bring he...

Re: Distance Advice?

After the Disco was a deadset 1 1/4mi horse. St Nicholas Day has ended up faster because of his dam. She threw a miler (Auston Mathews) when crossed with Man of Mystery, who is another 1 1/4mi influence (and is the damsire of your filly). I'm not sure why Ya Filthy Animal is throwing so much speed. ...

Re: I’m curious...

It's interesting that she's jumped straight from late bloomer to peak, skipping the intermediate "close to peak, race her soon" or whatever it is (I just have them as Peak, Close, and Late in my spreadsheets). I'm not sure what you wanted to see her gallop change to once she hit her peak, Nick. Supe...

Re: Anne Conradt Emotonian Contest

Kaine pointed out that I forgot the double points for the Emotonian, so the numbers in the article are wrong unfortunately. If I haven't messed anything else up there's not much change to order of finish. Jurgen jumps up from 6th to a three-way tie for 4th, and Mel jumps past Dylan and Gary for 10th...
