Re: A Shin Hikari

The Storm Cat DS probably helps his multi-distance ability. Storm Cat's best were mostly routers, but TS A Bus is a notable exception. Acapulco was a Storm Cat stallion who was mentioned as a prospect for breeding 2yo Turf Triple horses last time I remember someone getting really into it too, becaus...

Re: Tonight's Races!

It's real-life New Zealand Derby day today, with the big race itself set to go at 4:55pm. I have runners in both the Louisville Oaks and Derby, with post times of... 4:45pm and 4:55pm. I remember a few years ago I was in Auckland (can't remember why; it was a Saturday so I don't think it was for a r...

What does "looks like a blue hen" mean?
It's the Bloodstock Agent comment for the top category: Blue Hen. Blue Hen is a term used in real life for elite broodmares.

Re: Paint HOF

Italy was one of the big three stallions (along with HOFers Ohio Charmer and Shockfly) you'd weave together to make good sprinters. His record on the track was pretty decent too.

Are the filly races similar to the boys?
Get extra rest if they run in all the races?
No.

Also is it the 6/7/9 races just like the boys?
There is no official Filiies' TC.

Re: How Many Gallops

I find it takes *about* 3-5 gallops to get fitness I strongly disagree with this. Like Pete said, when you could do each training more than once a day, you could gallop 7 times in one day and reach full fitness. Adding in the rest you need between gallops nowadays, it takes more than this. This yea...

Re: Private Stallions

when a number of these are real life stallions created to add diversity to the game. Easy fix: don't sell these to players. Make them GP stallions that nick better than the player-bred stallions in the division (ie. Holiday Stallion level). Instead of taking a few million SIM$ (some fraction of a M...

Re: Underbids

Making it even trickier, could it be that underbids are worked out based on horse ID? So if you end up with three high bids and can only win two, you get the two which were born first/have the lower Horse IDs? Could be "fun" tracking that.

Re: TBS Auction - How'd You Do?

Woke up 22 minutes late for the 5am finish. I was the immediate underbidder on one (whose idea was it to keep bids from finished auctions on your My Bids page? /s) but had no joy.

Re: One Small Thing

Arabian Mids would be awesome since we have it in other mixers ;) And Standardbred races up to 2mi. Maybe Standardbreds aren't born with stats at a range of distances though and, even if they are, we as breeders haven't been selecting for 1 1/2mi or 2mi distance ability so the current stallions mig...

Re: One Small Thing

I have no idea if this is easy, hard or impossible. I am a fantastic user of computers. Code, program no. Any chance there could be a tab, custom barn setting or anything else that would stop a horse from being entered in any type of claiming races. I seem to have an issue entering NW2 or NW3 with ...

Stallions of pensioning age

Quite a few big names on this list. Quite a few "Wait, isn't he, like, 10?" names for me too. Time flies.

Re: It is hard to be a freak these days

all my freak mixers except 1 arabian 2yo downgraded to stakes but they are still competitive and freaks are now true freaks, loving the change, standardbreds excluded as they all stayed freaks There was talk of there being another downgrade this break, if the first one didn't make enough of a diffe...
