I mean I own (I think) 9400 horses now so I understand the headaches of managing what, to me at least, is a fairly decent-sized operation.

Re: Could use some good thoughts...

So sorry you and your hubby and family had to go through all of this. When someone is so ill no one needs the added stress of bad doctors and messed up hospitals. Sending prayers and healing thoughts Chad's way and hoping he continues to improve. He is fortunate to have such a strong wife that will ...

Re: Week 9 possible improvers

Usually, at least once during the year I give my horses a 3 week break,(not all at the same time) and I aim for after week 9. I gallop them one week after their last race and then they still have a 2 week break after that. Otherwise, like Laura I never work my racing horses except for an occasional ...

Mixers: Broodmares, Racers, Yearlings

Almost all of these broodmares have either a Flat A or A- hypo, if I have time I'll try to list them with their hypo's at some point. Some are stakes producers or stakes winners. Most are well bred. Some well bred racers, quite a few Stakes gallopers and 2 Freaks, again, if I have the time I'll try ...

Re: While you're bored... lease some mares! Blue Hens, stakes producers, etc.

Check it out here, ratings are listed: https://www.simhorseracing.com/auctions.php?AuctionID=4315 And remember, Formidable mares can still produce mega stars... for example, this gal of mine here: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=896115 She's not in this auction, but, this grade 1 w...

Looking at your auction and I’m wondering why is it displaying gallop comments and not broodmare ratings?
I see both comments, what they galloped when they were racing and also their broodmare comment. Are you only seeing the gallop comment?

Here are some good articles to go through when you have the time.
There are other good ones under the heading New Players in the Feature Race.

Take your time, this game is much more of a marathon than a sprint.

Good luck!

Re: One Small Thing

If possible and not too much trouble I would like to see the highest speed figure a horse has run in that little column that is marked "Info" or somewhere like that without having to open up the horses page and go through their races. I'm thinking of for our own horses not other peoples.
