Re: How are you

I live in Nevada. We are finishing our second week of lockdown. I’m a retired high school teacher, so work wise this has no effect on me. My wife is still teaching so she is working via Zoom. She holds geometry class between 9 and 10 daily. I have lived in southern Nevada for over 30 years. I never...

Re: Racing Community

Productive DS Colt
Solid TS Colt

Both are fully fit and at their peaks with the 2nd piece given up by gallops -- so for 500 GPs their equipment would be correct.
There were marked with a price as $3 and $2, respectively, and are for New Players only.

Re: Soft Eyes has retired

Check Out the SIMperior Edge this week I already had 2 mares booked to him. So i bred them now just in case there is a big run on him and he is unavailable later this year. By the way, when I was looking over my AWR mares, I noticed that D's Tapeta is a 14 YO and is moving towards being fully booke...

Re: Loved the auction format

I fondly remember when the SB auctions were awesomely fun from the opening bell. In contrast, the last 2 auctions were painfully boring with very little action except near their completions. By the end of the last auction, I no longer cared about the auction results -- i was just relieved that there...

Re: looking to tighen my belt

I track recovery time after my first time starters race so I have no real need to pay for soundness checks.

Re: Will you be using First Class Shipping?

Is it so much about getting more starts? Or better effort for the normal races and the ability to ship further without repercussion? I'd take the latter as the only thing to focus on. Perhaps your runner gets you a stakes win versus a second place finish with 1st class shipping. at the low end, you...

Re: Will you be using First Class Shipping?

Assume a player uses First Class Shipping
and averages 1 additional start per horse per year
and averages, at least, $5K per start.

Wouldn't the additional earnings from the additional start more than cover the additional cost of First Class Shipping?

Make that 3 :)
But you have to admit that the 3rd one was a very impressive pinhook -- $742K profit on a DR stakes colt that will likely earn less than its original purchase price ($258K).

Re: Y55 Update Thread

Remember that this is one of the ways to pull money out of the game, so it seems to make sense as an all or nothing approach. I try like crazy to find races for my horses within 500 miles if I can and within 1,000 miles if I can't find anything closer. I hate shipping farther, but to know I can now...

Re: Complain or discuss GP Auction Format here

Given the phenomenal success of this auction, I am very confident that the next GP auction will not be held in the Forum -- that is, it will be automated.

Unraced TBs "Give Away"

I have placed a number of unraced TBs for sale at "give away prices". Essentially, I used the price to mark each horse as follows. $3 each: Productive Gallop ALL SOLD $2 each: Solid Gallop $1 each: Claimer Gallop There are no "late bloomers". All these horse have been galloped regularly since they w...
