I almost forgot I owned "Hit The Road Jack" - It was one of my favorite songs back in the 1970s. I'll have to find a nice stakes horse and reuse the name. : ) Good to see this one earning a little money for me.

End of the year report for my pensioner earnings...looks like this year, compared to other years, they did a pretty good job, not quite as good as last year but I'm pretty happy with it. : )

Year 54 Earners
Troubling Times - 2nd place in the rodeo. $7,500 prize
It's All About You - 3rd place in the rodeo. $5,000
One Fired Up Cat - 3rd place in the horse show. $5,000
Deep Dark Waters - 3rd place in the rodeo. $5,000

Year 54 TOTAL = $22,500

I haven't updated this since the end of Year 53 - I've just had a hard time in 'real life' and this has been put on the back-burner. As part of my "New Year" - I went into my stable this morning and did a few things... like clean up my PMs...deleted like 100 un-necessary items...such as split race notices...horse alerts...etc. And decided I should come in and update this thread and see how my pensioners have done since the beginning of the Sim's new year.

I think many here know (if you read my post in Off Topic some months ago) of the stressful few years I've had...dealing with my brother, who got hooked on meth, and stopped paying attention to the store....and then the loss of that business which our family had for 47 years -- due to a new manager he hired who turned out to be an embezzler and who took the store for every penny it had.

So, I kind of let some things in my life slide, due to the stress...and in coming in here to update this thread, I was shocked to see I didn't do a Year End Report for Year 54. So, my next two posts will be to correct that.
This first post, is the End of Year 54 post. It will be shortly be followed by the End of the Year 55 Report.

I will wait until this break is officially over before showing my grand total for the years.
It seems like last year, I had some pensioners make money during the break...like in that grey area where the Sim starts charging fees again, but it's not yet the start of the new year. If no more earners, though, I'm still very happy with what they made for me this year.

Week 5 of Year 57 and I'm finally updating :P The last two horses, Quicksilver Dash and Against Giving earned money during the break, so I put them onto Year 56's total.

My next post will be for the start of Year 57, showing my history and grand total. Year 56 was a nice year...hoping my pensioners will keep up the good work for year 57. I have however, lost about 10 of them this year already, due to old age.

Year 57 Earners
Boo Hoo Chick 3rd in the horse show. $5,000
Battle Orders 2nd in the horse show. $7,500
Battle Field 1st in the horse show. $10,000

Fremont -- 2nd place in the rodeo $7,500
Waterloo Sunset --1st place in the rodeo $10,000
Tummy Trouble --3rd place in the rodeo $5,000
Dragon Song -- 1st place in the horse show $10,000
Majesty's Treasure -- 2nd place in the rodeo $7,500

Year 57 TOTAL = $62,500

My pensioners are having a pretty nice year this year. They are at this point, ahead of last year's total by almost $20,000. I had a huge amount of elderly horses die on me this year....seemed like every other day I was getting an alert for one or two of them dying. I have approximately 300 Eventers and Rodeo horses...and of those at this moment,
approx. 65 of those two career types are 28 years old....looks about like 30 or so are 27 year olds. So I expect a few more losses before the year is done, plus a bunch more coming next year.

This year hasn't had much going on....only 1 pensioner so far has made me any money. I'll list him on my next post...and finish this one out with my yearly totals list. : )
