Brag About Your Pensioners Thread

Post by Stormy Peak »

I was keeping track of my pensioner's in the Lesson's Barn thread...but being they are not all in a Lesson's Barn...nor racing...I thought I would make a new thread here in the favorite horses forum.

I plan to do as I did last year and keep track of how much my retired goobers are earning in the rodeo and eventing part of careers...and also, as someone else here mentioned...for fun, I'll track what kind of behavior my other non-money winning pensioners have been up to in the Lesson's barns and such. : )

Hope some of you will join me...I enjoy hearing about your 'ex-racers' too. :D

This urgent bulletin just came in.....

On today's hunt, Sonny Red refused the coup and had to move to the back of the line to try again
Before his pensioning, he was a very naughty chaser too.

Can it get any more ironic than this?

Lessons Horse report:

Acts Of Courage threw a rider today when spooked by a snake. Luckily, Ashley is okay.

Also, does does our insurance here cover law suits?

Prize Money reports
Canadian Canoe won 1st in today's horse show! $10,000 prize

Year 31 Balance = $10,000

Oh My!....How unbelievably good it feels to see Canadian Canoe's name up on the board again...with a first prize win, no less. 8)

This old guy raced for me for a number of years...was forced into retirement at age 9 while still doing fairly well as a steeplechaser. One of the best purchases I ever made.

My pensioners never do anything? How does this work?

Do you have to enter them, of have them is a certain place? Mine just sit there and do nothing.

No...just tell them what their job will be....

Pensioners that are rodeo and eventers are the only ones who will make money though. It's a random selection as to whether or not a horse gets a prize.

I have a fair number of pensioners as rodeo and eventers....just due to the fact that I've never sent any of my horses to AJ. I retire/pension them...just having that many, probably helps in the random draw. ???

Italiana was second in the horse show for $7500. :)

I have a lot of pensioners because I tend to GP somewhat rarely.

Got some more naughty reports. I'm surprised Tiffany Goldstar hasn't been kicked out of the program yet.
