Possibly my first homebred freak, Maggot
I don't post a lot about my horses but I'm just really excited right now and want to tell people about Maggot. He's definitely been a horse that has helped hold my interest in this game when it was waning and I'm really glad he did because he's allowed me to have a lot of fun. From last year when I thought he was going to win the Steward's Cup to a bit disappointing start to Year 57 I think he has finally hit his stride again and possibly even improved to freak. Regardless of whether or not he improved to freak doesn't really matter because what he was able to do tonight was huge. He ran a 92 in a division that scarcely sees big speed figures and did so running a pretty poor race according to his running lines. I hope this horse continues to be fun for me, freak or not.
yeah

"Oh, my! 'Maggot' is a freak! This horse looks to be about at their peak, but even I can’t always predict the future!"

He’s now also my first home bred Grade 1 winner after taking the Artificial Sprint in record setting time last night! Super proud of this horse and can’t wait for the rest of his career.

Re: dual surface man, Maggot
So apparently this dude does dirt sprint too! He wasn’t super impressive but won a sponsored Dirt Sprint race with a pretty good field last night. It was slow so any other race he probably would have lost but oh well. He’ll return to AW for at least a race or two and I might give it another go depending what the AW schedule is looking like. I think he’ll definitely show up to Saudi next year since he ran dirt week 4 day 5 as there was no AW things
