Now that I can't jinx her unbeaten streak anymore, I want to dedicate my first post in this forum to...
Utopia
When I had just about given up on the dream of ever breeding a good thoroughbred, this filly- descending from a random 1k lease I did 14 Sim years ago- came along and gave me some much needed excitement back.
During her first race she equaled Franzia's record for 8.5 furlongs and then went on an amazing winning streak, including:
The G2 Oaks Hopes (equaling the stakes record)
The G1 All Weather Derby (first filly to win)
The G2 Manhattan Cup (setting a new stakes record)
The G1 Synthetic Derby (first filly to win, setting a new stakes record)
The G1 All Weather 1000 Guineas (setting a new stakes record)
After drawing the far outside against older fillies and mares she fell a neck short to the amazing Fairie in the SC Synthetic Matron, but I hope she will come back strong next year. Anyway, she's the main reason I want to get my focus in the game back and didn't just quit before my absence a few months ago, and I'll always be thankful to simply have her in my barn
Thanks for reading!

Re: Utopia
She's an incredible horse, who lost by a neck to the best active AWR filly/mare in the SIM. I'm excited to see what she does next year

Re: Utopia
Thank you Maria and Jack, and thanks for everyone who voted for her in the Simmys- as Utopia won the Y57-All Weather Champion Three Year Old Female! Also I noticed that she's my first homebred TB millionaire, she's just so cool to have around
She's now entered in what looks to be a scary good field in the Pegasus Route, definitely not expecting a win, but it was too tempting to resist trying against the very best of the division for such a nice purse.
Hope everyone has a nice Y58!

Re: Utopia
Ok, I thought that after 20 sim years of playing I might have bred a true championship claibre horse finally, but sadly not.. So I'm glad for her very nice 3yo campaign and hope that once she retires she might give me a nice foal or two.
Thankfully I'm used to this kind of sadness in this game and know that that's just the way it is. Congratulations to Ronnie Dee and Bennie and the Jets! He's one special horse.

Re: Utopia
After a listed stakes win in week 5 to get her confidence back, Utopia got back to winning a graded stakes, avenging her previous loss to Randall's great mare Fairie. Very proud to say that she is now the record holder for 1 3/8 miles on All Weather! I was so disappointed that she couldn't do better in the big races I failed to appreciate how special she is recently.
She's scheduled for a G2 next week before hopefully closing out the year with a win in one of the remaining two G1 races. There's some really good looking AW fillies and mares out there right now, but I really hope she will be able to give me my first thoroughbred SC win.

Re: Utopia
I really hoped/ thought she would be my first TB SC winner, but unfortunately she couldn't manage to do it, I didn't like any of the races distance/ competition wise for her, but she still finished a decent 4th in her last race.
Even though she couldn't get that SC win, she retired with two active records (one for 1 1/4 miles and one for 1 3/8 miles), having been first or second in 20 of her 22 starts, 7 G1 wins- only two mares have earned more AWR points and only one has had more earnings all time... She is by far the best horse I have bred and I'm going to miss racing her really bad. She retired as a blue hen and from all the stallions I've tried she only has flat A nicks. I hope she will give me a foal that's even half as exciting as her <3

Don't forget she was the first filly to beat the boys in the A/W Derby
