Right! I think it was in a great place before because even new people who first join could see it and jump right in.

Personally, as someone who doesn't frequent the chat, I appreciate it no longer taking up real estate on the main page.

The chatroom never took up a large portion of the main page. It was in the bottom left corner underneath all your stable information, so it's not like it was dead center and detracting your view. It was out of the way, but still very visible. I think it's crucial for the newer players to have the chatroom in plain sight. Additionally, one of the SIM's staples is being a social game, and I think having the chatroom out in the open was a big reason for that.

As someone who has only been playing less than 4 months I agree that there should be a link to chat on the main page. I found new friends and a lot of help by going into chat and its so important for newbies to interact with the more experienced players, ask them questions and learn from them.

The rectangular box with sim stuff and rules could always be made a bit smaller to accommodate the link if space is an issue.

Plus it's two words and a number, that hardly takes up precious real estate. That's like saying a tiny flower is taking up your yard. If there was a way to show who was in the chat when you hovered over the link, that would be appreciative as well. One of the best things about the sim is the community and it is what sets it apart from other games, imo. You could put it right below the date/Time line in the news/updates box.

With my vision problems, this greater/darker contrast really helps. Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks for the all hard work SIM team! You guys are amazing. I'm still adjusting to all of the changes but for the most part, I really like everything! I especially like how much easier a lot of stuff is on a phone now :D.

We added a chatroom link on the My Office page. It will tell you how many people are in the chatroom. If anyone is in there, you can hover over the link and see a preview of who is there.

You may need to force a reload or clear cache to see the preview.

Another thing, we updated the SIm Store. It is prettier and better organized than ever before.

And finally, no one has mentioned yet the change we made to "Find Races for this Horse". We listened to your feedback and heard that people like seeing their horse notes, and recent race information when picking a race for a horse. Now, that information is listed on the page with the race list when you click "Races for this horse".

Enjoy all the new stuff.

I got mine all entered fairly quickly after races opened, so hadn't seen this. Just checked it out---it's awesome and I love it! Thank you!

This in particular shall be enjoyed immensely. Life will be so much easier for those like me that can't remember for more than 2 seconds when our horse ran last and was constantly going back and forth between pps and the entry page.

I too didn't check this since my first week entries were done, but this will be a big time saver when it comes to entering. Much appreciated!

A couple of things I noticed today that I was wondering about. Prior to 7.0/7.1, horses that were recently added/modified on the sales page had their price box highlighted much like recent bids on an auction page, and there was a very clear visual difference and those horses jumped out. Now, they simply have their price listed in what appears to be a pale green as opposed to black like all other horses. Is it possible to get it back to how it was, or at least a bigger contrast? It's such a pale color now it's harder to read, at least for me. Second, as recently as the 19th, when I went to the Exchange to buy GPs with SIM dollars, I could sort the table by SIM $ amount, GP amount, and the exchange rate. Now it appears the ability to do this has disappeared? I tried it both on my laptop, which uses Firefox, and on my phone which uses Chrome, and I couldn't sort the table at all. I also tried fn + F5 for a hard refresh in case there was something weird going on and that didn't help. This was super super helpful and I would love it if it came back.

I might have missed this elsewhere, but is there anyway to speed up page loading on the new version of Sim.?

For example, I have 319 horses in my racing barn, and even with a brand new desktop, and super fast broadband , it takes 7 seconds for the barn page to load .

It also takes 4 seconds for the shipping page to load, and the training and breeding barns are as slow as the racing barn . It doesn't sound a lot, but it really adds up with a bigger barn, and I'm taking twice as long to do things as I used to .

It feels like I'm on the old dial-up internet ......
