About to get some New Players!

Post by The Steward »

We are the big sponsor of a horse racing event next Friday and will hopefully get a whole bunch of new players. Are you guys ready? Anything we can do to hook these new lot?

I can reserve the rest of my free lease horses so they can have some nice allowance horses to run.

What about carding some extra trial park races?

Id say we should have had some big races that day because that is the most exciting. Anyway to have so fantasy races with the best of the best against each other for the event?

This is probably outside the scope of the question... but I always thought it would be great if new players had a chance to completely start over after, say, their first two weeks. There's so many mistakes made those first few days.

I also have some Allowance horses I’d be willing to lease out!

Do you get to show off the beautiful giant banner I made? That will definitely draw them in...

But seriously, I think if they could see what its like for major races... it would be so exciting. Remember how excited people were for the Equestricon races?? They'd probably LOVE if you had these huge fantasy races, learn some history about the SIM, and get a feel for what its like on BIG days.

Throw in some newbie races in between like a real race card so they can feel apart of it. People are all about instant gratification these days!

Make sure they win some races. Nothing hooks someone like winning. This is also how gamblers get hooked. But it works. Winning is like an addictive drug.

Is there any way to set it up where they can breed a foal, have it advance to a 2 year old and race all in one night? :)

1 month of free Simperior membership. It's always better to see the full version and will make things much easier as they start to learn the game.

i agree with the month free simperior, gives them a chance to learn the game with full access, im not a fan of brand new players handed out allowance horses straight off the bat without earning their way to better horses like the rest of us did when we started.

It can be one day/night leases - just to give them the idea/feeling of how exciting it is - just to reel them in. ;)
