Y55 Update Thread

Post by The Steward »

Year 55 Updates:
Partnerships - For Y55 going forward, partnerships will still exist but will not be allowed to own/buy/transfer in/or lease Steward-breds. We will not be removing ones already purchased into partnerships in the past.

Stallion Limits - Instead of being able to buy one extra set of 30 slots per year, you can buy an unlimited amount of 30 slots at 9,000 Game Points a slot. For example, Stallion A comes with 120 slots, but for 18,000 Game Points you can increase that to 180 slots, or 210 slots for 27,000 Game Points, etc.

--Steward-bred Limits: We are removing the limit on how many Steward-breds you can own per year. You will still only be able to buy 1-2 per sale but you can buy off other players.
--Partnerships will still not be able to bid on/buy/own Steward-breds.
--There will be one special auction per year of Steward-breds to newer players (not NEW, but newer).
--Steward-breds will be phased out as other money-draining things come into play over the next few years.

Since partnerships won't be able to accumulate stewies any longer, could we maybe finally be able to transfer horses OUT of partnerships?

Seems like a pretty fair concession at this point, especially because Stewie limits are going away.

So far every single change made in the partnership arena has been punitive, and those of us in Partnerships have taken those changes I would say in reasonable stride. this proposal by Danny would be a very minor concession in favor of partnerships. Just let them sell out horses that they own.

The only trouble with that is if someone takes a horse without permission 🤷‍♀️ Drama! And I know you can say “don’t make a partnership with someone you don’t trust” that’s true, but there is always a chance!

Also, I’m not saying I’m against this. I figured I should make myself clearer from no on so it doesn’t seem like I’m complaining...I would LOVE to be able to sell horses out of a partnership. Especially since we recently dispersed one and recreated it with the same person just to get some horses out...

What if partnerships can auction horses off between the partners without dispersal? Like a partnership has 20 horses, some are old, some are young. They want to remove some of the horses, but keep the young ones still in the partnership until they are older.

What if partnerships could auction off horses to public? I mean if you get a breeding program going in the partnership, it would be a nice way to keep income coming into the partnership. By selling some of the offspring.

Now that partnerships can’t own steward breds I don’t see what is the purpose of not allowing partnerships to auction horses. If it is an agreement thing, may something a voting mechanism can be added where there has to be a unanimous vote to allow the auction to be opened.

I like the sounds of that! Also being able to send pensioned horses to greener pastures would be amazing lol

1- Trust your partners.

2- Let partnerships sell horses.

So all the Steward breds bought by partnerships to get around the limit can now be transferred back to the individuals now that limit has been removed.

I thought the limit removal doesn’t come into effect until next year?

Given
1. The price of Steward breds will likely rise dramatically because of their phase out.
2. The limit on how many Steward-breds an individual can own per year will be lifted.

I do not understand why the remaining partnerships can not acquire additional Steward-breds. For those Steward-breds commanding extremely high prices, partnership is a way to share the high risks and potential rewards.

Has there been any clarification as to who qualifies for the “newer” player steward auctions? I’m sure some people might like to try and save if they know they qualify.

Am I missing something or is first class shipping only an all or one. In other words once I enable it and everyone ships that way until it is disabled, but I can't pick and choose specific horses or specific ships to work that way (short of manually enabling/disabling each time)
