I like the First Class Shipping, but I would love if it would be possible to chose which horses goes regular and which horses goes first class instead of all horses go first class automatically. :)

Considering that the purpose of this is to be a money sink, I don't disagree with it being "all-or-nothing", though I would personally find it cheaper and more convenient to select it for each horse at the time of shipping.

Couple questions though!
-if we enable first class, ship, and then disable while the horse is in transit, does it still "count" as first class?
-can we have some kind of notation on the horse history to show if they shipped first class or regular? Would be helpful for handicapping.

The method of shipping is set when the shipping is initiated. Changing your shipping preference will not affect any in-progress shipping.
One side note, if you pay close attention to the Horse Locations map or Spencer's Air Traffic Control, it will not accurately depict your in-progress shipping location on horses if you change your shipping preference. While changing your shipping preference is supported, it is intended to be something you set and leave alone.

Good idea. Shipping history and transactions will now include the method used to ship. It will way "via van", "via airplane", "via 1st class van" or "via 1st class airplane".

It seems like this shipping method will only benefit the SIM money rich players. If I could do it per horse, I would on my top horses but not on my lower level ones. For my whole stable, it would kill me financially as I am barely able to pay entry fees right now. This new perk will only separate the haves from the have nots? Why can’t we do this per horse?

Minor Y55 update. Board fees will be charged on Day 5 rather than Day 7. Farm and Track expenses will be charged on the same weeks as before (week 4, 8, 12 and 16) but on Day 5 rather than Day 7.

I’m curious, why the change?

My guess is to remove more money from the game. Not a huge fan since I never pay board normally , but I get it if that's the case.

It was always supposed to remove Farm and Track Expenses Week 16, but it hasn't worked for a couple of years because the SIM would go on break before the expenses were removed. Strangely enough, not a single soul told us they stopped being charged expenses for several YEARS..... until one person stepped forward and was like You know this is happening, right?

😅 I never even noticed the farm part!

I’m just bummed about the board fees since the majority of my horses run on Fridays and that means I’ll be paying track boarding fees (often $200) vs my usual $0 (my farms) or $20 💔

Ditto! I honestly never noticed.

I'm assuming board is taken out at midnight game time between Day 5 and Day 6. So if you ship after result or use auto shipping home, then it won't be an extra cost.
