Thrilled to see Let It Go take her rightful place in the Hall Of Fame!

Her dam Wish Upon A Star is still eligible in Round 2 and in addition to a distinguished career on track, she is also one of the most influential broodmares the Dirt Route division has ever seen. Please consider her when voting!

Ooh, if we're campaigning for horses, I'd like to point out Cat Named Boots! She earned more points than any other filly in turf sprinting history, and did so by winning 9 grade 1s, which was the most g1s any turf sprinter had won at the time of her retirement (including See You Monday!) and still only surpassed by Thunder Horse and Face The Wind! And most of those G1 wins were against open company as a filly, including a Pegasus win! She is also the matriarch of a line that has produced multiple stewards cup winners and even more high caliber racers and broodmares! So please, consider her as you're voting for this round!

Well if everyone else is doing it...

Looks like round 1 of paints was all males. Would be great for some of the mares to get in for round 2. May I highlight some of Synchrony's accomplishments... She was a millionaire dual Steward's Cup winner, won graded stakes at ages 2, 4, & 5 and multiple stakes races every year she ran from ages 2-5. Worth noting in all that she was a mudder so a lot of her success came on her nonpreferred surface. In addition to being an amazing race mare she's turned out to be a phenomenonal dam. She has produced 5 stakes winners including a millionaire Steward's Cup winner in Ebionite, she also had another foal, Gedaliah finished 2nd in the Steward's Cup. She is the 2nd dam to another 3 stakes winners (out of 2 different offspring of hers) including another Steward's Cup winner, Jacinth. And the aforementioned Ebionite who hasn't produced a stakes winner yet, has a freak 2yo awaiting her first start with the fastest yearling 400 yard workout time last year.

Also love my other nominated mare, but we'll save campaigning for her for next time.

Congrats to Kent and Izzy, and to all the new inductees! There were so many nice horses nominated that it made choosing one in each division very difficult.

Also, I am tickled to death that Sweet Sinsation is now in the Hall of Fame. She is my first HOFer, and I hope I will have more one day.

Go to the Horse Rankings page, filter for Quarter Horses - Dirt Routers - All-Time Earnings. Note the name in third place and go vote for her.

(Ps - her name is Bright Moon Dust).

Man it feels great to see new horses in the Hall Of Fame I'm gonna have to get back into writing HOF articles to get these guys what they deserve. Also I kinda need the money and I miss when I could just plow out four of these in a week.

Remind me again what the criteria for a hall of fame nomination is. A couple of options in there make me wonder how they got on the list when some of their opposition are clearly better options that should have been added seasons ago and some nominations that are there are clearly no better or on par with a multitude of other horses in their respective divisions.

DISCLAIMER: Deliberately not naming actual nominees because the initial criteria question is more important than a debate or argument on the nominees.
