Re: Looking To Buy Turf and Dirt Sprinters
So I've had some nice messages from a few people who might be selling some dirt and turf sprinters, but I wanted to ask all of you if you've ever encountered this kind of offer.
Someone was willing to sell a horse he'd bought for $25,000 for $35,000. That's fine, but I offered $25,000. He then said that he would feel like he'd been "screwed over" if the horse ended up making more money, so he said if he earned over a certain amount, I'd need to pay $1000 for each $10,000 he'd earned.
I've never heard of this kind of bargaining, but I'm not interested. Just curious to hear people's thoughts.

I guess he's trying to hedge against "sellers remorse" - but no, I wouldn't go with that kind of deal, either; to me, when a horse is sold, it's sold.
I'm just here for the fun of it

Sell a horse and take 10% of any future prize money it earns is a great deal for anyone selling a horse.
I agree with Carolyn, I wouldn't buy.
