Re: Complain or discuss GP Auction Format here
I quite disagree with this. If you sincerely only have 1 shot, you will make your best and highest offer instead of sitting back and thinking about spending another $25 or whatever random amount. One bid and be done.Rochelle Zahacy wrote: ↑4 years ago The problem with a one time submission is the bids likely won’t get very high at all.

I’d be totally happy with a one time submission of a bid with a reserve. Then let the steward figure it out once all bids submitted.

I like the blind one-time bid idea too.
I collect Peter Stone model horses, and they have a "best offer" auction system where you email in your best offer on a one of a kind model, not knowing anyone else's bid, and the highest offer gets it. Because they're usually customized and painted by the factory's best artists, and it's an auction, these "best offer" models often go for upwards of $1,000 each. That's a steep price for a plastic horse!
I think we would see the same "go big or go home" attitude if a similar bidding system was employed for the Game Point Auctions.

Given the phenomenal success of this auction, I am very confident that the next GP auction will not be held in the Forum -- that is, it will be automated.

HUGE understatement lol $3,263USD ($4,338 in CAD if you’re curious lol) in GP were spent in this auction lol
Anyone other than Danny get a freak?
I only know Danny's is a freak because I was looking for a TR stud earlier and LAUGHED that Goodnite Goodnite is 50% Freak and 50% productive, but noticed one of his galloped foals was a stewie I chuckled wondering if it's the Productive or the Freak?! but now I see his foal was in the GP auction and well...guaranteed Stakes+!

At first I posted that selling horses for game points against the rules, but i actually couldn't find where it stated that specifically.Rochelle Zahacy wrote: ↑4 years agoWill players be able to host GP auctions too?The Steward wrote: ↑4 years agoBeing automated right this minuteRonnie Dee wrote: ↑4 years ago Given the phenomenal success of this auction, I am very confident that the next GP auction will not be held in the Forum -- that is, it will be automated.
talks about not selling anything for real money and not selling "player accounts" for game points.
"SIMHorseRacing.com reserves the sole right to sell horses, accounts and game points for actual money and no other person may do so. Members also do not own any part of SIMHorseRacing.com and as such they have no legal claim to any account or horse on the site. Because members do not own anything on SIMHorseRacing.com they may not give away, or sell any horse on the site for actual money. Member accounts are a gift from SIMHorseRacing.com to its members. They may not be sold for actual or for game money. All SIMages belong to the artist who may use the images freely as he wishes. Game Points are meant to be used only as SIMHorseRacing.com allows, such as, the creationof horses, horse names and races with them based on criteria SIMHorseRacing.com establishes. You can gift them to friends, donate them, and award them as contest prizes, however, you cannot "pay" game points to enter these contests. You can trade them for services such as SIMages and upgraded accounts which are offered by SIMHorseRacing.com and no one else."
