TBS Pinhooks

Post by Laura Ferguson »

I'll look at pinhooks as well. I'll note that if you are pinhooking, you'll probably get more $$ shopping around then just taking the first offer. I've seen two horses pinhooked so far that I would have paid more for than the pinhooker actually got.

Pinhook is a racing term for buying a young horse, and turning around and selling it. In other words, you buy to resell, rather than buy to breed. My advice to new players as a general rule is to not do that, because the horse is probably more helpful to you than what you could spend the proceeds on, but different players have different thoughts on that (as you can see from players who have already resold their auction purchase).
