Nursery Stud Lease Auction - Blue Hens and Stars

Post by Laura Ferguson »

Put up the first of two lease auctions a little earlier than I normally do, due to the addition of new stallions and players looking for mares to support them.

Since I already have plenty of $$$, at the end of the auction, I'm going to draw five mares' names at random. The purchaser of each of those mares (so it is possible to win more than once), will get 10% of the total sales proceeds from this auction. As an example, if the total for the auction is $500,000, those five players will get $50,000 each, regardless of what they actually paid for the mare. Good luck, and have fun!

The winners were:

Dance At Midnight - Ken Saunders
Kissinrock - Dave Trainer
Red Storm - David Howard
Shadow of the Wire - Gavin Guile
Trickytimes - David Howard

If each of the winners could lease me a junk horse for $807,076 (in David Howard's case, $1,614,152), I'll accept and then immediately terminate the lease. In case the winners aren't checking this thread, I'll contact them directly if I haven't heard from them after a day or two. Congrats, and good luck to all of the winning bidders with their foals.
