Wise Owl Select Yearlings

Post by Nathan Klein »

Greetings Simsters auctions are always around but there are definitely times where there are more auctions than others. At the moment there are some great ones such as the opportunity to buy the great race mare Insignia Imperalis. But a new big auction is ready to pounce. From Triple Crown-winning Hall Of Fame trainer Stephen Saratoga. I proudly introduce the Wise Owl Select Yearlings. 25 lovely yearlings ready to be bid on so one by one owl talk about these yearlings.

Hail Mary Time
:DM
An Allowance late bloomer with solid speed in the 45.80's range her pedigree on her dam side is solid with a stakes-winning dam and Hall Of Famer All Of Time as her father. With All Of Time pensioned it is wise to get his kids quick before there gone as this is the second to last year to get All Of Time yearlings.

Finalati
:DM
The only progressive Allowance (the rest are late bloomers) Finalati is still a formidable choice thanks to his speed. Among the 3 dirt milers in the class, he is the second fastest only 0.12 seconds slower than All Things Marvel. A son of the recently pensioned Selati and birthed by a Grade 1 winning Dirt Miler in Big Pegasus it's Grade 1 on both sides. And if you want Selati horses this will be a chance that goes away fast.

All Things Marvel:DM
A daughter of Marvel she is the fastest of the Dirt Milers in this auction and is the other filly of that trio. As well as being the leader in speed she is Marvelous with Marvel as her sire and her dam All Things Glitter having six figures in progeny earnings and being a graded stakes winner on the track.

She Is Fearless:TM
The only Turf Miler in the auction sired by Fearless Spirit one of the highest in demand turf milers in all of the sires (currently booked full) and out of a Pinatubo mare with a solid sub 47 four furlongs workout as well as being an Allowance Late Bloomer there is plenty of potential to be had here.

Cloud Walk:DS
The male of the female and male duo of Dirt Sprinters in the auction Cloud Walk is a speedy young sprinter out of Mika who is a millionaire producing sire and out of a dam who produced a stakes winner in her first year as a broodmare. And as an Allowance Late Bloomer, he could prove to be great long term with his stakes-winning genes.

Tweaking:DS
The filly of the pair Tweaking is slightly faster than Cloud Walk and also has great ancestry with her grand dam being a half a millionaire Steward-Bred who also managed to have half a million dollars in progeny earnings. Who knows if you buy her she could turn that 50K reserve into half a million smackeroonies.

Missed Class:TR
A colt sired by With Class Missed Class is a good reliable colt and a great choice if Third Dam proves to be too lofty. For 1/5 the price of Third Dam and with workout times on par with her Missed Class is perfect for those who don't desire to pay too much but still want a quality turf router.

Winkfur:TR
Another solid yearling although slower he has Winx as a grand dam which is something never to be overlooked in a horse. He is by Obsidian Fury who comes from the legendary line of Shahir'ra Winkfur does have a lot of potential on both sides and like all of the other Allowance, runners is a late bloomer.

Third Dam:TR
Out of the three Turf Routers in this auction, she is quite special amongst them thanks to a lofty $500,000 reserve in contrast to the usual $50,000 reserve she better be worth all that money. Stakes galloper with Brilliance as her dam out of stakes-winning broodmare Second Dam who with just two foals has already broken six-figure progeny earnings. Yeah sounds like half a million bucks to me.

Full Day:TS
One of the best looking In Full Pursuit sons being the highest-rated galloper of In Full Pursuits crop being an Allowance late bloomer and is also the only one of the three Turf Sprinters to have set equipment which will make your job easier when it comes to getting him ready for the track.

Lord Brown:TS A horse with great potential although he hasn't been worked out he is by proven sire Lord Brown and his dam is already a proven stakes producer so with a stakes galloper like Lord Brown (another very important distinction that puts him above most others in this auction). Lord Brown will cost you a bit more with a $100,000 reserve but it should be worth your while.

Claimus:TS A filly with tons of unknown blood in her being out of new sire Talus and a broodmare with no previous foals to go off of she is very mysterious but that mystery could mean that she could be way better than anyone anticipates so if you want a jack in the box for a possible bargain surprise then give her a chance.

Their Band:DR
A daughter sired by the biggest Dirt Router sire in the entire sim Dave Matthews Band. On the dam side, her grand dam was a stakes-winning producer and Their Band is the first foal for her dam Their Bayou. And she is an Allowance Late Bloomer to boot lots of potential in the making.

Cullor:DR
Although not as fast as his contemporaries she makes up for it with her pedigree. Sired by the great Gladiator who right now is at an all-time high demand thanks to being at the super cheap price of just $10,000 and has already produced 543 foals at the time of this writing. His dam and grand dam both had a quarter of a million dollars in progeny earnings as well.

Heart King:DR
Continuing on down the list of great DR sires we meet Kingdom Come, responsible for many classic winners including multiple Long Island Classic winners as well as many top horses in the Sim at the moment such as Maximus and Risen Today. His colt is Heart King who while hasn't been timed yet also comes from a good side of dams with a dam that reached a quarter of a million progeny earnings and a grand dam that broke 350K.

Their Crisis:DR
On the other side of the spectrum, we have a filly with some lesser-known parents being the first-time foal for her dam and a first-crop daughter of Midsummer Classic winner Metacrisis another horse that could be a great mysterious choice that could have great unpredictable potential on the track.

Inspectre:DR
Out of sire that keeps on giving the 17-year-old stud, Spectre Inspectre is one of his newest prospects being a solid Allowance Late Bloomer with speedy sub 58 seconds 5-furlong workouts to back it up.

Missing Parts:DR
Continuing with the trend of newer sires is Missing Parts the daughter of Parts Unknown who already has horses winning in just two sim weeks. While Missing Parts does live up to her name with no set equipment at the moment with how high demand Parts Unknown is being booked full at the moment why not give her a shot. As well her dam was Missed Your Chance a Grade 1 winning six-figure progeny earning broodmare.

Prince Pot:DR
Back up with the very experience sires, we have Baltimore Crown winner Prince Louders son Prince Pot. With a 57.70 flat workout, he definitely does have some speed on him and with him being a late bloomer like many others things will only look up for him from that 57.70.

All Gonzaga Zags:DR
A bit heftier priced at a six-figure reserve but definitely worth it running 57.48 for 5 furlongs and being a stake galloper. As well he is out of the recently pensioned sired Allonsy so it is important to know that time is limited when it comes to Allonsy colts such as this guy.

No Dances:DR
With recent success such as Silence Suzuka and Kobe it is clear that Dancer is a worthy Dirt Router sire so if you want to buy his best go with No Dances another 100K reserve stakes galloper just like All Gonzaga Zags.

Angela Eyes:DR
A filly Stakes Dirt Router she is worth the 100K reserve as a stakes galloper with a nice pedigree including Send An Angel her grand dam who is a Stewardbred with six figures progeny earnings. As well she workout faster than-No Dances and Prince Pot so she also has some speed to show for that Stakes gallop.

Sacking:DR
Having multiple stakes producing broodmare Judging as a grandam is already a good sign. Also having James Dean as a Grand Sire is an amazing sign. And being the fastest Dirt Router in the auction by workout time is the greatest sign of all that this Ransack colt is worth the $100,000 reserve.

The Mystery Horse:DR
Not as mysterious as some of the other horses on this list by comparison. She is the best daughter of The Blood-Horse being his only Stakes Galloper so if you want the pick of the litter on The Blood-Horse then you need to buy The Mystery Horse

Owlligator Owlley:DR
Last and certainly not least is the horse with the highest reserve out of the whole auction Owligator Owlley. Already a horse with Stephen's signature owl puns means he holds her in high regard she is pure Stephen Saratoga. Sired by his best stud the Desert World Cup and Steward's Cup Classic winner Delirium. By a Stewardbred mare with over a million dollars in progeny earnings in The Sky Is Blue and the only Freak in the auction. You better believe that 5 million is for good reason.
