SB Auction Note to Self and maybe other Newbs!

I know I show my ignorance every day, but I see that you aren't limited to two Steward Breds if one is a game point sale apparently...

Not that I have the means, but maybe someone else does!

Maybe just one per sale, but thought there was a limit on SBreds bought per year?

There is a limit of two unretired stewardbreds, yes, but you can pay 3 mil for another slot.

maybe this is it, extra slots. I know I couldn't bid in the past after buying/leasing two (not from auctions)... suppose it is unlimited if you have the funds, huh?

3 mil is indeed peanuts to some people, probably a pretty easy way to get some money to leave the game as the steward wishes. Just gotta start saving up!

Thanks; this one throws me a bit "For instance, all the general horses for the year will be in one or two auctions, with a limit of one per person." So assume since we are having three for the year, so far - three would be allowed under the extra slot. so, maybe this just a bumper crop of SBs this year?

the above was to rebut the notion of "rich getting richer" in the explanation. So, I assume the tone/spirit of this was to only have two but allow for pinhooking (the extra slot)?

Two is the limit for buying stewardbreds no matter what auction then my were in. As others stated, players can purchase additional slots…people can still bid on more but if they reach the limit when auction ends then the horse will go to the next highest (eligible) bidder on an underbid

ok, so the "unerbid," on some of these two limiters is unknown but currently show higher than what the actual sale price will be because they have reached their (the bidders) limit of (2)?

Idk, I feel like I remember trying to bid on SBs before when I had used up my slots, and not being able to. Certainly in the lease auction, I wasn't able to bid once my slots were gone.

But, if its just a matter of slots, then i see it - they must certainly have the slots. But as I read it, it may just not be how I understood it to be. (limit of 2 per year)

For the next auction, if someone has used their two slots and bought an extra slot, they can bid like anyone else - they can have multiple bids but can only win one (like everyone else), so they go into the auction like anyone else, and affect underbids the same way. The fact that they are using an 'extra' slot doesn't make any difference in the first auction. If they have bought 2, and haven't bought an extra slot, then they can't bid at all.

My assumption is that if a player uses up their last slot (or their purchased slot) in the first auction by winning a horse, but they also have a bid in the second, then their bid is deleted and the horse drops back to the next bidder. Of course, these players can buy another slot before that auction ends and put their bid back in. But that's my assumption, I haven't tested it in practice.
