Standardbreds make me generally feel better about myself than the TBs or QHs ever have. 4 pacer freaks and 2 pacer stakes (from 7 foals) and 1 trotter freak (from 5 foals). They're about the only reason I haven't dumped the whole barn in a fit of rage.

I'm going the positive route here... I've been wanting to just pull the trigger and keep only a toe in mixers (Appy,Paint,QH,Arabs) and this year seals it for me! Glass half full here people.lol I bred the largest mixer crop of my Sim career and it was horrid.

Appy: 41 foals

Freaks: ZERO, Nada,Goose Egg
Stakes: 3
Allowance:18
The rest...glue factory ;)

Paints:45 foals

Freaks: 1 (Hey Brother)
Stakes: 5
Allowance:14
The rest..glue factory

QH: 85 foals

Freaks: Nada, Zip, Zilch
Stakes:16
Allowance:25
The rest..glue factory

Arabs: 18 foals

Freaks: 2
Stakes: 2
Allowance: 7
The rest.. you get the picture

Your bank thinks sending horses to the glue factory instead of racing them is indeed glass half full, haha.

I think my stable is confused... ZERO Paint freaks, the one freak I got is in a breed I'm trying to get out of. One of my not so great crops, but all I keep thinking about is this scene from Sirens, with all these colts, I'm gettin paid!

Anyway, here's my results:

Arabian (10 foals, 9 colt, 1 filly):
4 stakes - Nagib (2), Cronos, Lord of Arabia
3 Allowance
2 Productive
1 Solid

Appy (7 foals, 6 colt, 1 filly):
1 Freak - First Class Runner
2 Stakes - Better than Pat, Gun For Hire
3 Allowance
1 Productive

Paint (158 foals, 131 colt, 27 filly):
11 Stakes - Limitless (6), Grey Patches (3), His Will To Live, Mark Me Gold
45 Allowance
50 Productive
27 Solid
25 Claimer

Quarter Horse (13 foals, 12 Colt, 1 filly):
3 Allowance
6 Productive
3 Solid
1 Claimer

188 yearlings total
158 Colts (84%)
30 Fillies (16%)

I've been trying to go colt heavy the last few years, as a way to cut down on my incoming broodmares, I kinda like it
Arabian:
Money Run Low - 7.5k
Cass Ole - 5k
Mugello - 5k
All I'll Praise - 5k
Zandvoort - 10k

Paint:
Toby Flenderson - 15k
One In The Woods - 5k
We Can Be Heros - 5k
FLD Eclipse - 3.5k
Scooter - 3.5k

I’ll be happy if the stakes run like stakes and not sad and sorry.

Arabian router-22
2 freaks
6 stakes
1 allowance
10 productive
1 solid
2 claimer

WORST CROP EVER!

Arabian sprinter-3
2 stakes
1 productive

QH-12
3 stakes
5 allowance
3 productive
1 claimer(out of a blue hen  )

Paint-5
2 stakes
3 allowance

Appy
1 productive

Many productive and less will be sent to GP unless they are female with a good pedigree and family

I am also about to quit this game. I don’t chat cause I don’t have a keyboard for my iPad and I hate chat rooms. Always have.
I don’t have time to train my horses and I don’t work. How do the people here do it? Training is very time consuming.

My TB crop was once again dismal.

Depressing.

Andrea, seems like you got a fair amount of stakes, honestly. Since the gallop changes the other year, stakes are actually very likely to be stakes quality, and allowances and even productive day can be really useful horses. Don't despair.

Thanks Laura, I actually think my biggest issue is the time it takes to train. I seriously don’t have much free time between household chores(which I do very slow due to my health condition), shopping(food, necessities),doctors appointments, physical therapy, etc. My biggest focus is my health which has been much better thanks to diet and PT,etc. There is so much more but it would take forever to explain. Anyways, I just miss how much less time consuming training horses used to be. It looks like I will have to try another sale/lease again which costs GPs AKA real money which I don’t have much of.

Would it be a solution to try to hire an assistant trainer? Someone you'd trust that could help with out with things like training or other things you would consider delegating? I don't dare to volunteer myself due to own time constraints but I wished to put the suggestion here. Maybe you already thought of it?

Andrea,

If you need some help with training your horses I'd be happy to help.

Glad to hear your health is improving. I'm getting my PT cert this spring so I'm looking forward to helping people like you with their physical health too:)
