It's finally time!

I'm so excited mixer racing starts today. When you race only mixers, break is essentially 3 weeks long.

I actually had 2 Tuesday horses this year but today's the first day I really care about. Have 14 going today. Some results I'm anxious to see include Baeda in a stakes race trying to chip away at that $350k earnings cutoff so I can stand him as a stud. He got the rail. Sadness. Bandoline also in a stakes. She dropped off a lot in form last year so I'm curious to see if she can bounce back at all. Then I've got 5 2yos making their debuts including one going for a stakes race to see if he can live up to those fast workout times he's had. Though worried about Regina's colt with its sub 17 second work.

Hip Hip Hooray!!! By far my favorite day of the week. Unfortunately I probably won't be awake for results but sometimes my brain will wake me up around that time just so I can take a look :)

I have 23 in tonight. What I'm most excited for tonight specifically is a claim I submitted that I'd very much like to win. I'm also antsy to see how my only stakes winner of the year last year follows that up.

I was so excited for Mixers to run that I checked results yesterday at post time, only to rudely realize that it was Tuesday! Haha

Happy Wednesday/Mixer Day!!!

I didn't do too well, got some horses claimed (Yesterday and today) and got 1 nice stakes win https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=993857 :) Then Dylan pointed out he raced Week 15 Day 6 and I just raced him back on day 3, so not as rested as he should have been but luckily still won. 3 week break in his future. LOL!

It seems horses magically rested over break so that may have been what happened. But yea usually not a good idea.

Only 4 x claimers during the first evening (or morning here as it's 5 AM) but three wins and a second place made me smile nonetheless.
My homebred QH router Rebel for Kicks which I picked back up for $701 in James Ryan's dispersal auction during break went back
out on the track and won on a 9-weeks-break with just a jog and a gallop during preseason. Rest is good. We like breaks.
