no name...ANOTHER $12k and lasix came up...at least it wasn’t bandages, lol.

At least Emily’s found another way to take money out of the game. It feels like for every pricey check, the next one comes up quick, like 1 or 2 requests.

Well, I bet if dr Hacklu had to do 50 examinationes, he wouldn't be home to dinner.... He would still be at the office writing the charts. The kids would be sleeping and the dinner cold... ;)

...and if this continues, his wife would be tired of it all, and soon it will be a divorce... The wife keeps the house, children and most of the money. Good for us- then dr Hacklu can concentrate on taking care of our horses, and not be disturbed by his wife Anita all the time. Perhaps he could be more observant and discover the blood in trachea during the scoping? Or the swollen legs? Maybe take a course in dentistry, so he can fix more problems than just say the horse need a toung tie...

I can remember running horses on 3 or more pieces of equipment...just trying to guess what to use based upon running lines and their performances in a race.

Canadian Canoe
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=22240

One of my first horses to make me some decent money was Canadian Canoe, a steeplechaser. In his last race in the SC Steeplechase, he was beat by the very fine horses, Casey's Shadow and Chickadee.
He wore for equipment: SR, L, FB, F8, TT.
Yep...5 pieces of equipment...lol. Maybe he would have finished better than 3rd if not so weighed down with all that stuff...lol

At the time, I was using lasix on almost all of my horses, as that was how it pretty much was done in RL racing. I figured FB's would be good for a steeplechaser as their forelegs brushed against the tops of hedges. And the other 3 pieces... I can't remember my logic behind using them for this horse...but I don't think I was the only one with the mentality back then that maybe more the better actually worked with these horses...lol

I both work and gallop my horses to find equipment, but with freaks and stakes I will also vet or even buy a hint. With the works, even if they might only be a few seconds apart with different equipment...it still can eliminate like 3 or 4 pieces due to really really slow times...then one can focus on the pieces that gave faster times.
