Laura Ingalls Stakes

Post by Laura Ferguson » 2 months ago

So, my mom named me after Laura Ingalls Wilder - she loved the books, and wanted to read them to me one day. By the time I was old enough for that to happen, I wanted to read the books to myself....poor Mom. She did get to read two of the books to my brother.

Anyway, several SIM years ago, a filly named Laura Ingalls was up for sale and I had to buy her for the name. She was a really nice racehorse/broodmare, and has a stakes named after her. I try to win that stakes every year. I just won this year's edition with Eight of Stars, and even without checking the rest of my results, that is the highlight of my day. I love reading stories like this when other players post, so I thought I'd share.
