Re: 5,000th post wins 5,000GP!
A man agreed to pet-sit his mother-in-law's dog, but when he got home the dog dashed away, ran in front of a car, and was hit. Knowing the grief he would experience from both his wife and mother-in-law the man immediately scooped the dog up and rushed to the vet. Upon examining the animal, the vet said "sir, I am sorry to tell you that there is nothing I can do. This dog has already passed". "You don't understand" the man replied. "This dog belongs to my mother-in-law! My life will be a living hell if the dog is dead, so I want another opinion."
The Vet thought for a minute, and then went into the back of the clinic, re-emerging a few moments later with a Siamese cat. The cat walked around the exam table, sniffed the prone patient, and did a fist pump in celebration. The vet said “sir, as you can plainly see from the cat’s reaction, this dog is in fact dead”. The man replied “I HATE cats! I’m not taking the word of a stinking cat on anything- I want another opinion”.
The vet thought again, went to the back again, and emerged this time with a labradoodle. The dog sniffed the patient, whined sorrowfully, and shook his head at the vet. “Sir,” the vet said “even this dog agrees. Your mother-in-law’s dog is definitely not with us any longer”.
Finally allowing himself to be convinced of the dog’s demise, the man asked for the bill.
“That will be $1000” said the vet.
“You expect me to pay $1000 for you to tell me my dog is dead?” replied the man. “You didn’t actually do anything”.
The vet answered “No, it is $50 for telling you the dog is dead, but it is $950 for the cat scan and the lab report”.

I miss those post as they were always a bit entertaining. Thanks Gwayne Mike and Hello Andrew.
