The SIM Silks Tournament!
I love tournaments. It's just part of the sports fan in me. And while it's not "March Madness" time, one of my favorite things about NCAA Tournament time is that there are inevitably other "tournament brackets" that pop up trying to determine the best song, movie, fast food joint, vacation destination, sensual position, fake SIM horse racing podcast and everything in between. It's glorious water-cooler conversation stuff and just plain fun.
For a while now, I've had a seed of a thought in my brain: A SIM Silks Tournament.
There are hundreds of SIM owners with hundreds of silks, many of which are pretty darn cool looking. So whose silks are the best? Why don't we do this NCAA Tournament-style and find out!
I need nominations. Lots of nominations, given I'd like to create a 64-silks field, complete with four "regions" consisting of seeds from 1-16. I will finalize the bracket after the nomination process, which I will give a week (or two) for.
Ground rules: You cannot nominate your own silks. You can nominate up to 10 silks you believe should be the tournament (just write the owner's name, no need to post an image of the silks, although you can if you'd like). These nominations should be based purely on artistic "coolness" and not on how well known and/or successful the owner is.
Nominations should be posted in this thread. I will keep track. The number of nominations a particular owner's silks gets will help determine the seeding (i.e. silks can be nominated by more than one player, and in fact is strongly encouraged).
I will leave the nomination window open for now, and will set a closing date for nominations once I see how well/not well the process is going.
I plan on giving the winning owner $50,000 SIM dollars for the victory. Other people can contribute prizes as they see fit (we can keep a running log of that in this thread as well.)
May the best silks win! I'll post my own nominations soon.
