BEAGLE VS. GEUKENS

I want to like Leonard's silks. I have tried to talk myself into it several times. They're unique, they're not really overdone … I can't really find a flaw. I probably wouldn't have added another dog logo to the hat, but it doesn't kill the silks. I guess I just have a tough time taking something with dog biscuits going down the sleeves seriously. Also, the rust-red and black design isn't terribly exciting (it does fit the theme, however). As for Geukens' kit, my only real complaint is why is the button on the top of the hat cherry red?!? Is this an ice cream sundae I'm supposed to eat? Is Rudolph sponsoring these things? Are you trying to warn off airplane pilots from colliding with your jockey? I don't get it. And I just wrote multiple sentences about a hat button. I need a life. Whoever wins this should get smashed in the next round. I'm going for the dog biscuits. VOTE: Leonard Beagle.

Just a clarification on the rust-red color choice. Leonard, the beagle, was a red beagle. I suppose I am getting votes to win over great silks because quite a few of the SIMsters remember Leonard.

Escobar and Downs are in the same triple-threat matchup, can only vote for one of them. I won't count a vote for either of them at this time.

This is an absolutely brutal matchup, as I really like all three of these. That said, I moved Peak's leopard-print silks to the side rather quickly...
 leopard?

lol... wrong kitty.

This has been a fun contest. Thanks for all the time and effort you've put into it! Also, love your explanations as to why you kept or tossed a silk design. Some of the choices in each round have been really difficult, but as you kind of mentioned in your posts, sometimes it's just one small detail that makes one silk more or less attractive than another.

Also, Leo's silks... lol... I always kind of wondered if his horses felt a little threatened by them and performed better because it. They are being ridden by a jockey with ...uh...dog biscuits, and a dog silhouette on the silks...and horses well know what happens to really bad performers.

I apologize for not knowing the difference between leopard and tiger prints. I have been enlightened! And thanks for the compliments.

There's currently four ties, so I'd love to get a handful more people voting to hopefully end up with fewer ties.

Leonard suggests he is getting votes because people remember his beagle, Leonard. I personally like the bit of whimsy that some have incorporated into their silks. This is a horse racing game and while I often prefer a horse related theme on the silks, if that bit of whimsy speaks to me instead; I go with the whimsy!

Leonard, your silks are moving along on their own!
