Updated entries. The Arc is indeed shaping up as a fantastic one, but lots of big races coming up this Friday, too.

Updated through Week 13 Friday. Make 'Em Hot made my night by winning the G1 Flower Pot Handicap with a career-best 91 (beating a good horse in Diamonds R Forever), and she's earned her ticket to the SC F&M Turf! Woohoo!

Laura Smith is still in the driver's seat, but the race for other top-five spots is quite lively, especially the battle for third and fourth, and the insane battle for fifth ...

1. Laura Smith 1,004
2. Garret Folsom 822
3. Sophia Stevenson 754
4. Michael McGuire 748
5. Todd Lucas 671
6. JR Lewis 668
7. Katie Macpherson 664
8. Randall Johnson 646

Just for the record, I will not be running this contest in Year 51. I have some work/schedule conflicts that would make it too difficult.

It probably will return in Year 52. In the meantime, if someone wants to "drive the train" for Year 51, feel free. I would still contribute to a prize pool. Heck, without having to run it, I might actually play.

Updated through the Week 14 Friday Europe races. Congrats to Kaine Saracen and Nightmarch for winning the Arc. Other G1 winners are One Perfect Memory (Prix Grand Opera) and Through the Night (Japanese St. Leger). The race for second place got tighter, and fifth and sixth place are separated by one point right now!

Updated through the Week 14 Friday Asia races. Speak With Fists gives Laura Smith 100 more points by winning the Cox Trophy. It's going to take a miracle for anyone to beat Laura, and Speak With FIsts has won three million-dollar events this year and has to be the turf route horse of the year, at least to this point. Emotions Run High (Australian Valley Oaks) also won a G1.

Spots 3-5 remain very close, with a small gap back to sixth. Of course, with all the big Week 16 races still to come, lots of movement is still possible.

1. Laura Smith 1184
2. Garret Folsom 872
3. Todd Lucas 829
4. JR Lewis 820
5. Sophia Stevenson 818
6. Michael McGuire 768
7. Kaine Saracen 750
8. Katie Macpherson 730
9. Randall Johnson 726

Dan I would think Only Me would give him a run for his money for that title. He has been absolutely on FIRE this year and has earned $4,620,000 just this season! Props to both of them though for their incredible seasons!

I meant horse of the year as far as points earned for this contest. But that’s not what I wrote, so my bad.
