I just started. Hello.

Post by Andrea Bouwkamp »

Well, I started by going through the sales after a few days of research, etc. I got my initial game horse when I started but bought a couple cheap maiden geldings to start racing. My first horse probably won't be crap but the geldings have what I consider big potential bloodlines after doing my research.
I am a major newb here but in real racing I am a student of pedigree and am even published. So, my question is this: What breeders/owners provide the best racing stock besides The Steward? Some of my horses come from big families and are by top runners.

Any tips for training I should know? Any other tips?
Much appreciated, in advance. :)

The above list, plus:

Ara Davies (if she's paying attention)
Jon Xett (the Godfather of the SIM sometimes does things just to see what will happen, but I still pay attention)
Lauren Haggerty (especially turf sprinters)
Landon Alexander (She's the foremost authority for whatever happens here on wednesday nights. Quarterhorses, paints, appaloosas, arabians, goats, pigs, manbearpigs, etc. If it's a horse, it races on Wednesday, and Landon is selling him/her, you want the horse if you want in the standardbred game)
Susie Raisher
Ali Weasley
Stephen Saratoga
Emily Mitchell

There are more, I'm sure.

I went and bought two yearlings(which I found out, is not good to do right away-oops), they were both bred by Nalbone. I picked them up just by researching the top SIM bloodlines based on all time earners and looking over the SIM breeding both on top and bottom. I think I did well(don't know yet) and I hope I can afford to keep them. They were not expensive at all.

I scan through threads just looking for my name

Also I sold like a hundred horses over the last few weeks and lots of them have won SO
You're not getting a dead button...in fits of rage, John Slotman and Ara Davies and Jolene Danner would literally kill half their barns.

No I just meant the paying attention part.

One of those hundred has a Beatles-related name and is awesome...
