Trainer Stats for Year 19: 9 : 1 - 0 - 0 Win-11.1% OTB-11.1%
Maiden Wins: 1
My stable now consists of one winner and the rest maidens.
6 of my maidens will make their first lifetime start in the next few weeks.
So I am optimistic about my chance for the second half of the year.

64 : 15 - 8 - 11 Win-23.4% OTB-53.1%
Stakes Wins: 3 | Maiden Wins: 8
Definite improvement over my first two seasons which saw me with a win percentage around 10% and an otb percentage around 30%. The numbers are likely inflated a little bit by the fact that I've done a fair amount of racing in the protected company of Junior High.

Stakes Wins: 20 I Maiden Wins: 27 I 2 Year Old Wins: 19
Numbers are down slightly this year, largely a result of selling huge numbers of horses in the last 16 weeks. In terms of sheer numbers of starts, I'm on pace to start only about 80% of what I did in Year 18; two year old starts oughta be less than half of what I started last year.
Stakes wins are off a little bit, a result both of having sold some solid stakes-quality horses (two year olds in particular!) and as a result of no longer having 15+ graded stakes-winning 3yo fillies in my barn, but what can you do? The big horses are doing what they're supposed to do, and as long as the top end keeps right on rolling, I'm happy.

Up a little over last year and my weekly checks have been bigger so I'm happy.

I will be following Eric in tightening up my stable eventually. As of right now, there are just WAY too many 2 and 3 yr olds to expect much more than 12-14% of a win rate. Reducing numbers should help my %, but I do like trying to earn a win out of each of my homebreds. It is hard to let them go before they do that.
My hope for the second half is to see some of those place numbers (2x the wins) gain a little bit more ground and hit the wire first a bit more often.
