Maybe new players should be able to enter their horses at Junior High also. On Tuesday at Trial Park, each race had either 11 or 12 entries (4 with 11, 4 with 12).

Ronnie, thats an interesting idea. That might make the system a little more graduated, rather than a completely restricted track Year 1, a completely restricted track Year 2, and then being just thrown straight to open company in Year 3.
I'm not sure what the opinion of the Steward/other Junior High/Trial Park trainers would be, but if it helps more of the Junior High races actually RUN... that might be a win-win.

I personally would have NO problem with this.Eric Nalbone wrote: I'm not sure what the opinion of the Steward/other Junior High/Trial Park trainers would be, but if it helps more of the Junior High races actually RUN... that might be a win-win.

I think that the Junior High track serves well for Junior High players. I had been moving some of my horses away from there because the fields were getting crowded every week. Now that we've gone to a twice-a-week racing schedule, I think I will probably move some of my horses closer to the Junior High track. I think in future weeks the races will probably fill up fine, so I wouldn't open it up to newbies just yet.

Seconded. Many of the races I've been running horses in at Junior High have been 4-6 horse fields.Scott Eiland wrote:I personally would have NO problem with this.Eric Nalbone wrote: I'm not sure what the opinion of the Steward/other Junior High/Trial Park trainers would be, but if it helps more of the Junior High races actually RUN... that might be a win-win.
Not that I'm ever going to complain about easier money but in the big picture I think it's an excellent idea.

I wouldn't have a problem with the new players being able to race at Junior High.
Oh, and I did as much as I could to help fill races. I noticed the short fields early in the week.

HAHA I soooooo feel your pain Nathan. Most of mine are moving away from the trial park track cause the races are just WAY to packed. If you can't be on right after races are run the week before and do your entries for the next week, you can't get in to a majority of them. There has obviously been a HUGE influx of new peeps... me included. YAY Sim!!Nathan Robert wrote: I think that the Junior High track serves well for Junior High players. Anyway... having trouble finding races there... so have had to kind of skip Jr. high entirely (cause can't race there) and have sort of kind of graduated to 'big kid' racing on a trial budget.
