Re: Gallops complaints
Usually, I spend less than 1 minute per breeding decision. With an older dirt router mare that I like, I spent almost 5 minutes on the breeding decision and ended up sending her to a stallion (that I just noticed) is listed as a dirt miler. This "Wonder" of mine paid off with a freak yearling.

I've been in the game for 12 real life years, I've had a lot of different strategies, ha.Fern Thompson wrote: ↑5 years ago Melissa, I've felt like quitting so many times, but it's still enjoyable for me, and I hope it will be again for you very soon.
I think I mentioned in an article once that I think the game is all about the possibility of hope, and we all know what it's like without hope. So on that note, I think you and I and everyone else who feels disappointed with gallops should just find some new strategies and take a break from breeding for awhile! (maybe.....)

I went to your page, Melissa. You've done really well, I think! Look at all the SC wins.
I need some of your strategy!

Re: Gallops complaints
Here’s the one I’m most frustrated with. Trillium won $1.3 million on the track and she has had 5 foals now. 4/5 have been claimer gallopers. I had 3 stakes gallopers this year out of 16 foals so I guess I can’t complain too much.

The only good thing about gallop season this year for me was watching that penguin gif on the other thread. 75% solids or less. Oh dear.

Re: Gallops complaints
I have a very tongue-in-cheek gallop 'complaint'...
I woke up roughly 1/2 hour before the alarm clock was supposed to go off Monday morning, rolled over contentedly looking forward to a little more sleep. Abruptly shot awake as one lone thought, "GALLOPS!", burst into my consciousness. I made my way to the living room and my laptop and logged into the Sim. Getting up 1/2 hour before the alarm (not to mention skipping the at least 2x I usually hit snooze) should have meant plenty of time to get to work on time. Right? NO! Gallop Day sucked me in and before I knew it I was running late instead of early... Punched in one minute late.
Would I make the same mistake if I did it all over again? Absolutelty!

I know exactly what you mean,i log in and about 10 secs later wonder why ive botheredMelissa Mae wrote: ↑5 years ago I hate to be the depressed "my horses suck" person but I am about ready to quit the game after this round of gallops. I spent last year doing a deep cull of my barn, putting a lot of work into breeding the horses, placing horses in races, ect. and had my worst year ever (even worse than when I threw horses in random races just so the game wouldn't disperse my horses for a full RL year) followed by crap gallops. I know I'm putting too much weight on gallops but I'm to the point where the game just isn't fun anymore.

Re: Gallops complaints
I just wish there was a way to have more gallop days. That is my complaint. Now I have to wait another 4 months.
