Names that didn't age well
So I've started going through all my broodmares and making plans for this year and I am reminded once again of my embarrassingly named mare and figured I'd share the story to give people a chuckle. Back in year 40 (February of 2015) when naming my foals I realized the lyrics of I Lived by One Republic were horse naming gold. Out of that one song I got "Choose to Stay," "I Did it All," "I Lived," "Own Every Second," "Take That Jump," "Take teh Pain," "Theworldcouldgive" and.... "Build a Wall" obviously that name has not aged well.
Anyone else have names that are embarrassing.

All four of my lifetime exes played the SIM at one point or another, so anything named after any of them starting in like Year 6.
You think I'd learn that lesson.

But how hard can it really be to throw one by the time you get to the 4th?

Re: Names that didn't age well
Unfortunately this post has inspired me to name/rename some horses. The names probably won't age well. All My Exes, Fourth Ex, Love on the Sim, FoundloveontheSim, Simster Love, Find Sim Love, ...The Steward wrote: ↑5 years ago All four of my lifetime exes played the SIM at one point or another, so anything named after any of them starting in like Year 6.
Love forum posts to inspire my horse names! (Sim Peta, Drink the Kool Aid, ...)

There is actually a country song, "All My Exes Live in Texas".J.r. Lewis wrote: ↑5 years agoThere's a good start to a country song...The Steward wrote: ↑5 years ago All four of my lifetime exes played the SIM at one point or another, so anything named after any of them starting in like Year 6.

I don't do tattoos but getting a person's face or name as a tattoo certainly isn't a great thing to do.

Re: Names that didn't age well
I think I have "Anything For Love" reserved, haha.
I personally have this problem where I maybe have a few too many and start reserving names that I think are hilarious or amazing inside jokes in the moment. Definitely not as hilarious when sober.
Here's a good one. So here in Canada our packaging is in both French and English. When you buy a carton of eggnog, it says "Eggnog" but also "Lait de Poule" which translates literally to Chicken Milk. Great name for a horse, right?
