Year 52 Steward's Cup Unofficial Official Hype Thread

In a little over 2 hours from the writing of this post, the first wave of entries for Steward's Cup week will be open!

So, as we wait for the fabled week 16 to come, let's talk about our horses, the races, and who and what we're most excited about?

My entries are likely going to be:
Synthetic Dash: Twill Thrill
Synthetic Filly Dash: Stellar Lark
Bunburette: Minior, Leafeon
Ladies Route: One More Kiss
Turf: Antares


I would love to have one of my Bunburette horses surprise against a field that will have horses freakier than they are (they're stakes gallopers), especially in light of what happened at the L'ville Bunburette this year. Personally, I'd love to win an SC that I haven't won before, especially the dirt route ones (imagine, Brian winning a dirt route SC?! What is the world coming to?).

Yet Another Monday and Swindler for the Filly Turf Dash. Debating sending a homebred as well just for the sake of having a homebred in there. And also just for the fun of having three in one SC race, which I've never done before...
Hoping that As A Rule will do something on Friday to inspire me to send him for the TD. Leaning towards it regardless. I feel like he's better than he's let on so far.

Reading Laura's comment about having a homebred in the Filly Turf Dash made me think and realize that I have more non-homebreds in Steward's Cup races than homebreds! I don't think that's happened since I was racing Chord of Pity and World of Hurt in year 28!

I'm most excited about Night Boss and Shaking So Scared. I think Night Boss can really do this and Shaking So Scared is in an epic battle with Batchit and Walk With Elias. Batchit beat him in the race prior to the SC last year and he ran his slowest race (90 SF) in the SC after that loss. Walk With Elias won that race, so I'm hoping Shaking So Scared can pull it off this year. He also has a total of four races against Batchit and they've each won two races, so this is kinda a rubber match until we meet again...and again, and again. I think these three are going to be butting heads several times in the next two or three SIM years.
