I believe Eastern Westside has run his last race. He won the Derby like 1900 years ago (or at least it feels that way).

I didn't even see him as "old" until I noticed James Dean ran in the same Derby..

I must admit I shed a tear as the van shipped him and his goat "Sunny Jim "off to the igloo. I was hoping to read a post that the mandatory retirement age had been changed to after the 12 year old year but.... Now starts a quest of looking for another big horse, but it will be hard to find another that will be as fun and give me as much enjoyment as Eastern Westside.
