So gallops, how did you do?

Post by Carole Hanson »

I’m exceedingly happy this year!

35 Foals
4 Stakes (2 TS, 2 TR)
8 Allowance
8 Productive
6 Solid
9 Claimer

No improvement in my 2yos but I did get a Stakes chaser who is also an allowance TR so that’s a nice surprise!

Holy moly.

Stats for TBs:

2 freaks(!!!!): Kitty Kitty Kitten (A NYAN CAT BABY OMG), Rathalos, the first foal from SC Ladies Route winner One More Kiss
5 stakes: Stew bred AWS Aggron, DR Blossom Storm, TR Glaceon, DR Storm Flag, TS Valley Cat
17 allowance
10 productive
9 solid
8 claimer

P.s. Some of you might think it silly I changed Kitty Kitty Kitten's name from Thundercats, but that name holds way more personal significance to me, since Kitty Kitty Kittens were one of my absolute favorite toys when I was a kid, and I seriously still have three of them (even if they are all beat up and worn down by virtue of being 20 years old)!

HOLY CRAP.

I almost cried, I think. I definitely shrieked. Or something. I don't know what my noise was.

156 TBs

3 freaks (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1101484 (Strong and Free)
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1101520 (Lord Black)
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1106598 (Toho Jackal)

I literally could not be more ecstatic about these horses. The first two are incredibly special for obvious reasons. The third is a grandkid of Whiteflagfinish, who was a super duper extra-random slide and a super crappy broodmare but HERE SHE IS AGAIN.

so 3 freaks (2%)
10 stakes (6.5%) (Strong and Free x3, Doesit Need Saying, Gunmetal Grey, Hold Us Together, Nyquist, Rift Storm, Saturnalia, The Black Glove)
43 alw (27%)
24 productive (15%)
21 solid (13%)
52 claimer (33%) ...I wonder why this big disconnect? Every year I feel like I have a disproportionate amount of claimers. Oh well.
3 DCs, one chaser, two experiments, haha

Anyway. Easily my best year ever. Ooooh i'm not sure if i'm going to sleep like a baby or be wide awake all night.

Final Gallop was a Freak. That perked me up at this late hour.

Only bred 102 this time due to being absent the first 9 weeks of last season.

56 were thoroughbred.
1 Freak(the final galloper)……….Allonsy
1 stakes...…...Allonsy
dozen or so allowance and downhill from there.
10+ of the downhill have potential jumping so perhaps a stakes chaser or 2 next season?

I had 80 TB foals this year:

1 Freak (by Kentucky Wildcat). Will be a DM or DR, or both? https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1131510
(Star Dam also gave me a Freak last year by California Chrome)

4 Stakes:

DM by Dubai Touchdown (last foal of one of my very first Stakes winners) https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1122609
TM by Steel Slayer https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1122757
DS by If Looks Could https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1131488 (hoping for improvement big time on this one)
DR by Man of Mystery https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1101233'

23 Allowance
9 Productive
The rest we shall not mention. Lol.

1 Different Career (Steeplechaser)

I am not going to complain at all.
DM: AMERICATION MISCHIEF & JAMBOREE
TM: NIGHTWATCH
DS: SINISTER MISTER/THE HELLHOUND/DARKANDSTORMYNIGHT
AWR: TUSCANY GOLD
QH DS: EL RAY SOL
QH DM: MARK ME CHROMED

My 3 Stewardbreds were all stakes- which is good, but they consisted of 2 turf routers and one dirt router, which is bad..
My homebred thoroughbreds were pretty much as boring as always, a bunch of allowance horses I'll have to put into the best possible spots to maybe get a few stakes wins. I feel like I really need to do something drastic about them soon so I don't lose interest in them at all.

But on a more positive note I was really pleased with the results I got from Dancin in the Rain (my first Thoroughbred stud) as I had myself fully prepared to have a bunch of claimers only.
The greatest surprise with my thoroughbreds was getting this stakes filly as her dam's last foal. Black Cliffs was one of the first mares I had that I was excited about and always thought actually had potential to give me a good horse, but after 10 years of disappointment I was just waiting for her to finally die and end my suffering, lol

My mixers were a lot of ups and downs with great surprises and really bad disappointments.

Looking at overall, my TB's were mediocre at best. On the top end, I couldn't be happier.

Stewardbred DR Galra Empire was a Stakes.

Stewardbred AWR Allura was a Stakes, just the 3rd Stakes AWR I've had.

Finally, from a mare I leased from Ali Hedgestone for $1, I got Franzia and AWR that galloped FREAK!!! BOXED WINE FOR EVERYONE!!!!

I'm pretty happy with my small crop of 10 yearlings.

1 stakes (filly by Kingdom Come: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1141558)
3 allowance
1 productive
3 solid
2 claimer

Just galloped my 2yos and Mythical Illusion moved up from productive to allowance. :)

Once again, like garbage. Even my mixers sucked, which is a first. I am probably going to quit this game. I have been playing too long to suck this bad. I had hope with my Arabians until this year. Not a single freak for the first time. Depressing.
