Tell Me How...

Post by Burgundy Hill Farms »

How'd this guy just win with a 93 SF over the horses he beat when all he could win before was NWx/L races?
He was a stakes galloper last time I galloped him Y51W2...
I almost gelded him during the break...maybe seeing the scissors coming made him run his (you know whats) off instead!

I think he makes for a good argument--- to say, that sometimes Waiting to see how a horse will 'age' before clipping them doesn't hurt. It could be this horse will have a really super 4 and 5 year old season....just because he's the type that matured slower than other horses.

Hoping that this is what it is and he'll continue to improve for you during the year and be even better as a 5 year old : )

There's a different horse right now who I genuinely believe is the best older horse in training and can't run his way out of a NW3 to save his life. Super frustrating, but when they DO blossom, it's rad!

Might not be a dirt router, Em never mentioned what division this horse runs in (apart from that it’s older)

I have many old horses that never win NW3.
This means that I might be the owner of the horse that the Steward consideres the best horse in training right now...
I am happy with that!
I am pretty sure that that she meant a freak somewhere, but still..
:) Hope is important. Even irrational hope :)

On subject, perhaps this particular horse "likes dry" ? and therefore produced a better speed figure?

I figured whichever horse Em was talking about, that he had at least two tries at an NW3 and couldn't win them. The original horse mentioned was a turf router, but otherwise, yeah, she didn't really say which division this horse was in.

The horse managed to win a NW3 last out since my post! Good job, horse! ;-)
