Steward’s Cup Hype!

Post by Dylan Christensen »

I feel like we usually have some sort of hype thread for the Steward’s Cup but there’s nothing this year! Who do you have running? What match ups are you excited to see? Is there an upset on the horizon in any of these races? Races start tonight so let’s get excited!!!

I'm excited for the Synthetic Classic. I want to see how Soft Eyes and Gordon do against the older horses like Bougee and Wakanda.

I've got 4 running this year:
Burning Man - Paint Championship, not holding my breath with him, he's definitely a mudder and of course the SC never comes up muddy... I'm mostly just hoping he can get enough earnings so I can retire him, those bloodlines.

FLD Raven - Paint Classic, He's been on quite the hot streak! Hoping he's got one more good run in him. I'm really just hoping those 3 extremely good and fast races don't catch up with him just yet, hopefully he can make it 4 extremely good and fast runs

She's Country - Paint Distaff, this old mare has had a great year. I'd love to make her a millionaire, Boone doesn't have one yet Would be nice to have her do that

You're In It - QH Ladies Sprint, She's had a hard year, kinda fell through the cracks in my barn at the beginning of the year and has struggled. But you never know if you never try, and with QH sprinters, you literally never know

Good luck to everyone with entries!!!
Arabian:
Money Run Low - 7.5k
Cass Ole - 5k
Mugello - 5k
All I'll Praise - 5k
Zandvoort - 10k

Paint:
Toby Flenderson - 15k
One In The Woods - 5k
We Can Be Heros - 5k
FLD Eclipse - 3.5k
Scooter - 3.5k

I have 6 entered which is 3 more than I've ever had before. They range from a couple with a decent chance to a couple with very little chance.

I'm always excited for the SC. The contests, the calls, the chance to win a trophy, it's the best week of the year!

I have a few running this year:

https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1008550. Terrified for her in this race. She's the only filly, but she doesn't like the short routes.

https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=894032 Would like for this one to get over $1 million for Lee Cara, but it is a tough field and he drew the outside post.

https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1085692 Like Andrew James above, he is in the SC Futurity. But Marvel has finally entered, so we're probably all sunk! LOL

And for fun, have a couple running in the GWC races.

I had a female chaser I wanted to run, but she didn’t have enough points and the field filled up...she didn’t get freaky soon enough.

I have:

Cthulhu - He’ll he retired after https://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=1355034

Pie Rate - just for fun https://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=1355367

Peace From Madness - https://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=1356368

Slay Girl Slay - like 0 hope here https://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=1356850

But the one I am MOST excited for isn’t a SC race...

If Walls Could - I don’t think there is any logical chance to beat Diabolical X, but I won’t know unless I try...right? There is still time to chicken out and go to the SC lol https://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=1356860

Wow hard to believe, I have 10 runners, 5 different breeds.
Deep And The Dark - Syn. Matron..Won Syn.Oaks (my first AW G1 ) my best chance!
End To Moaning / Hollow Log 2yo Syn Dash both leased from Lee Cara (thank you ) outsiders.
We Are The Fallen - 2yo fillies Syn Dash has been campagned in Europe so hopeful trip has not taken too much out of her (vet says ok )
Jumpa The Hedge - Distaff Chase off the board once in 17 runs so consistant (mostly Stakes ) probably outclassed.
Mrs Tiggywinkle - Juv.Fillies Pace no reason to expect a good run but she was 2nd in the same race as T Momsen was 2nd in last year before surprising me in the Juv F P so hey ho I"ll give it a go.
T Momsen - Oaks Pace won Juv. F P last year and has not won since! (probably my poor training!! ) showed signs of a return to form last time out...no idea how she will run.
Chainsaw Daisy - Paint Juv. Fillies having a day out.
Linea Aspera - Qtr. Matron as above.
Smokey Jazz Club - Qtrs. Classic as above.
I just hope I do not fall asleep before the calls!!! best of luck everyone.

I have some... I went to Birmingham last week, and I had put some horses in races and I was supposed to look them over and eventually scratch, but didn't have time to.
So my first one, in SC Steeplechase is this little fellow. https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=991746. Amadeuz is ha freak, but I don't think he stands a chance in this race. I can only hope! This was one of the horses I was planning to scratch depending on competition...

Next race, The distaff, I have this little girl, Flizans Danielle! https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=940298. She is my very best horse, and I hope she does what she has always done. She won SC as a 3 y old, she won distaff last year as a 4 y old. Can she make it a third time? Maybe not. But I love here nonetheless. Please, if she wins her 3rd SC, please, please please vote on her for simmy awards! (if she gets nominated). I thought last year that she might get the simmy after her second SC-win, but unfortunately not... Anyways, she has done exactly as last times- won the GP-sired stakes and then SC, can she do it again? :)

For the marathon, I have this girl, Tasmania Z. She is an underdog in this race. She is a freak and like the muddy surface and distance, so you never know. https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=985537

For the Gold Cup, I have Flizans Bourbon, https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=851367. He is getting a bit old now, and this is perhaps his last race. But he really likes the muddy weather and the distance, so I keep my hopes up for a nice place.

For the derby chase, I have this one, Jumpin' Machine. https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1037018 He is a freak, and the race is open for surprises.

For the Oaks, I have Dandelion Star Z, https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1049901. She is also a freak. Perhaps not my best freak filly, but my other one, Firefox does not like the muddy weather, so she will rest until next season.

Unfortunately the races will take place in the middle of the night here in Sweden, and we have a long workingday tomorrow. I don't know if Polk and I will go up and cheer for our fake horses at 3.30 AM.

Soo, I'll cheer them on now! GOO DANIELLE! <3

Wednesday:
The SC QH Quarters, 400 yards on dirt, Juvenile Fillies
Golden Memories
She's my first 2 year old millionaire.

Thursday:
The SC Bunburette 1 1/8 on Turf for 2 year old fillies
Roughian
She's from my long line of nice fillies by my foundation mare "Foremost" I actually wanted to use that archaic spelling of the name Ruffian on colt, but a nice stakes/freak colt never came along. Before the real Ruffian showed up in racing, no one would have associated that name with a female.

Friday:
The SC Turf 1 1/2 miles for 3 years and up
Convince Me
The last race for my old boy before I retire him to stud. I just enjoyed racing this one too much to do so earlier. I'm really going to have a heavy heart when I finally do hit that retire button. It's a sloppy track Friday and Convince Me 'Loves Mud' - I hope that tiny advantage will help my old boy out and he'll do well in the race.

The SC Filly and Mare Turf 1 1/4 of a mile for 3 years and up
Get Off My Cloud
She's a stakes quality filly, but struggling for wins. But, she likes mud, so I'm hoping she will do ok in the race and at least make me some money. Last time out in a G1 on a firm track she finished 3rd. Her last 3 races were at the 1 1/4 miles distance and she got a 3rd in one of those too - but won a GIII week 12 in-between those 3rd place finishes. This filly also comes from my Foremost pedigree line of nice fillies. : )
