I know I have at least two in my barn. A 2yr old and a 3yr old. Both are pretty slow.Laura Smith wrote: ↑4 years ago I will bet $100k right now that there will be a stakes galloping yearling from a B+ hypo from a formidable mare next year.
As a matter of fact, I'll give $100k to the first person to show me one and prove it with screenshots.

I sure won't turn them down. Lol. This mare has only done this with RL stallions; she didn't get squat out of others I tried. Sent her to another RL stallion this go. I personally don't think lightning will strike thrice, but we'll see.Andrew James wrote: ↑4 years agoyou love to see it!Darcy McBride wrote: ↑4 years agoI have a Formidable BM in my barn that produced a freak in yr 51: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... As for things I'm hoping for from this current crop of foals:
1. Please let me have some good Antares babies!
2. Please let (at least) one of my homebred AW horses be stakes+
3. Please I want (at least) one mixer freak!
I will be in chat this Friday evening/Saturday morning to join the listing of grievances traditional with Festivus
I have a stable full of cats

Stakes are the new freaks now! I was just checking out the Appy Sprinters and there are currently 9 freaks from active sire’s. Not necessarily still in training freaks, some may be retired. It’s kind of insane!

Re: FESTIVUS IS COMING
I both can't wait for and dread Festivus. I breed a lot of claimers and solids every year from what should be very nice mares.
That said, I have a handful of seriously fancy bred yearlings that I'm really hoping are something special.
Like War Like Me, Lady So Divine's colt by Farseer (one of my favorite new dirt route sires).
Or the colt by Thunder Bay and out of We Went Wrong.
I generally don't use many sires twice in one year, and almost never three times (besides my own stallion), but I sent three each to Only Me and After the Disco, so at least one of those babies better behave and be a good one!

Laura I couldn’t agree more, they are guidelines. I only ever got an A+ with a chaser mare and her foals were limited. I will say when I see multiple flat A crosses to a stud, It truly makes the heart beat faster. Kingdom Come was like that and while I have 4 stakes by him I’m looking forward to running, I’m still looking for a freak from him....hopefully, lol.
And for those newer on the scene, Jabberwocky was a flat B cross out of a “good” mare. There’s not much I shy away from anymore, you just never know what that misbegotten random slide will give you. Hahaha! It truly is the great equalizer!

Sideshow (by Jabberwocky) was a B- hypo out of a Good Mare (I think - was maybe a formidable) and he earned $5 Million+ on the track...Nick Gilmore wrote: ↑4 years ago “#hyposaren'teverything “

Re: FESTIVUS IS COMING
I have a Steward bred turf sprinter named Demons Red Balloon that has me psyched. And then I have a bunch of Fancy Shoes foals out of blue hen and star mares and a couple of Castle Crumbles out of two blue hen mares. I hope to see some big gallopers from that group.
