New and Fun Ways to Spend Sim$

We added some big ticket items like farms (any others for SIM$?) That helps. And the ongoing fees help. Can we think of more big ticket SIM$ things that only rich people can afford? Something that doesn’t give them a big advantage, but just prestige or notoriety. Rich people may be willing to do that. We could add in-SIM humanitarian causes. Maybe a version of sponsoring a race that only costs SIM$ or less GPs where the purse money comes from the sponsor?

Maybe stallion sponsorship of races? Like the Conquerer at Stud Maiden and then a banner on the race page or something. Sponsor 10 races for 500k or some such?

I think there are a lot of things that could be added to barns. Special items that add 1% or 10% extra rest that cost 10 or 15 million dollars so every farm doesn’t have one. The percentage could decrease yearly so farm owners would have to renew after x number of years.

I don’t know about everyone else but I ship my horses to either my farm or the closest farm to where I need to be. I don’t look at the farm because they are all the same. With items like that I would look at farms much closer. Farm owners would get increased revenue to help defer the cost and of course the boost would help their own horses.

How about a nice size fee after gallops that allows you to run your horse an extra race a year. Unsounds could run 7 sounds 8 and very sounds 9. I’d pay a fee (depends how much) for my stakes gallopers to get an extra race.

I can come up with a hundred ways to charge money! Lol

For Sim$, you can ask the bloodstock agent to suggest some "good" stallions (e.g., a list of 5) over a specified stud fee range (e.g., [$10K, $20K]) for a specific mare.

This may not be the right place, but I would pay a fee to have my horses automatically shipped to the closest (or shortest time) farm after a race. Right now I log on after results and ship each horse that raced this way. If this is an option already I apologize and obviously don’t know how to use it.

I think people without their own farms may pay a small fee for this.

What about a BS button for your colts? We can BS fillies to see if they are going to be a good broodmare, why don't we have an option to check our stallions to see if they are worth standing at stud?

In order for that to happen we would need to create bs type comments for studs. Hypos and stud book stats do a nice job of that already.

Give me an assistant trainer to prep all my yearlings. Workouts, equipment, fitness. I'd spend big bucks on that. Even if I had to rehire the trainer weekly.

When I was up north this summer and unable to get online to ship my horses home, I just turned on auto shipping, and I made it part of my entering workflow to set a nearby home location at the same time as i entered the horse. Easy peasy.

I was thinking something along these lines too. I'd love something where I could put in my training schedule for the year, give guidance on how to adjust equipment during works and then just sit back and watch the results

This admittedly is more a "one small thing" than spend money thing but I have also switched to doing this and really like it but wish it was easier to find the closest home location when entering a horse in a race. As it is now I have to initially look things up on the map and then just keep a list of homes for each track that I consult when entering. If there was some way to search for home closest to next race it would be glorious

So I run a large barn and yes this would make things easy, but do I really want this? No.

If that’s the case why have equipment, fitness, ect ect in the first place?

I think we need to have some challenges in the game to keep it interesting and also showcase one trainers ability versus another. Doing all these for us automatically would remove aspect of the game.

We can hire an assistant trainer already. Find a player willing to do those things for you and hire them to help you.

My vote is no for this.

I agree with Pete, only because if there was an auto-trainer, the individual nuances in how you choose to train or do those parts of the game would go away.

It’s an interesting idea in some regards, but it would make everyone’s stable a little robotic, at least I think it would.
