Need something clarified.
Year 54 week 16 day 5 to Year 55 week 2 day 5, is the same 2 week break between races that would occur normally without the beginning of a new season?
This may also be of help to the newer players among us?

Re: The Break
So there is a pretty in depth FAQ on the break here:
https://www.simhorseracing.com/simforum ... 20&t=16927
Yes.. If a horse ran W16 D5 they shouldn't race again until at earliest W2 D5. Horse's don't rest over break.

I forget they are there at times.
So I like to remind others.

Re: The Break
One quick clarification. Some rest does occur during break. These two quotes are taken from the link Ali posted.
"You will know if rest is accruing because when the Day Rate is being charged, rest is being counted."
"so rest accrues slightly slower (think every other day instead of every day) until Week 1 Monday races actually happen."
Bascially the week of "entering" before Week 1 Monday you get an extra 3 days of rest 7/2=3.5. Normally doesn't help much with entering but if you want to gallop after the year turns over those extra days help.
Why there is always confusion on this is the Administration refers to the week of entering before races actually start as part of week 1 and not as part of the break. It is a "double week" to use the administrations words.

Re: The Break
In general, if you just treat it this way, with very few exceptions you'll be fine and no horses will get broken or raced in too short a time frame.Gwayne Mike wrote: ↑4 years ago Need something clarified.

There are nuances in the FAQ, but I usually just treat it as you said and it tends to work fine.
