I was quite happy when I had 50 foals...then it crept up and up. I had mares to retire and looked at all the nice studs retiring and the numbers crept up some more. Now I’m looking at all the pretty mares being offered to lease and, yes, up go the numbers again. I have a couple of bids in Laura’s lease auction and you just never know what someone will offer. (*shaking finger*...I’m looking at you Stormy, lol). Lo and behold, twins! Ha, my 50 head foal crop has doubled, and then some. I’m proud of them all and will not jinx any one of them by bragging. Here’s hoping they are all mostly competitive!

I don't know, exactly. I will say this, though. Somehow in my effort to build up a quite large generalist barn, one that races competitively in many (most) Divisions, I've wound up continually finding my best quality to be across TS/TM/TR.

So I guess my prayer to the lesser gods of Festivus is that my "specialist hiding in generalist's clothes" approach keeps up, meaning my Turf Programs all take another significant step forward. I'm confident that they can.

I don't know what everyone's talking about. I have 58 Dirt Route foals that are all going to be competing for the Triple Crown in a couple years.

This is my 1st year that I avoided wasting names. I may have named a dozen early in the season before I decided not to name potential nags. I have a wide array of everything thoro and mixed. I'll gladly own anything that can win me a race.
The breeding was a struggle for me this time around. I bred my blue hens and stars first. I have a mix of everything. And struggled to get the stars done finally in the last week. Then I went back through and used in house studs on formids that they matched style with. I refused to spend money on Formids this time. In total I have 172 foals(30-35 are from formidable mares). I have 99 formidable mares unbred. And I'm okay with that. Just wish gallop day would hurry up. Oh and when do offseasons gallop updates happen? Did that start last Sunday or do we need to wait until this coming Saturday?

I just don't get why there is a thread being negative BEFORE we even gallop. Seems silly and nobody likes a Debbie Downer! I mean why breed them if all you want to do is expect them to be bad?

I actually am pretty excited about my crop and think I could get some solid horses, I made the thread jokingly as a way for people to show off their foals without jinxing themselves

I DON'T KNOW !!!! I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF!!! I have a problem and need to go to breeding rehab. It is truly a disease so please don't judge me.. .(Help me)
