EquiArmor Breeding %?
What's the actual percent chance that the mare will be protected with this?

What’s the % of getting a gallop piece with the training upgrade? And is the training barn upgraded in any other way or just for finding equipment?

Re: EquiArmor Breeding %?
For now it's just finding equipment a LOT faster. I'll say it's a 60% difference.Carole Hanson wrote: ↑3 years ago What’s the % of getting a gallop piece with the training upgrade? And is the training barn upgraded in any other way or just for finding equipment?

It's not though because i have many 12yo and older horses that don't pension.Jo Ferris wrote: ↑3 years agoI believe she's saying there's more than a 97% chance your mare will be protected where as without it there is 0% protection
There had to have been a % before this change otherwise they would all pension at 12.

I think it's a 97% _additional_ chance they won't croak. But I don't know that for sure.

Re: EquiArmor Breeding %?
Long ago, there was a discussion on what the probability of getting the 2nd piece of equipment from a gallop given it would be revealed by a gallop (rather than the vet). I think the consensus was somewhere around .10 to .12 from a single gallop. 60% more would be around .16 to .20 from a single gallop. Below are the associated probabilities for the equipment being revealed from 10 gallops. The Steward wrote: ↑3 years agoFor now it's just finding equipment a LOT faster. .10 .651
.12 .721
.16 .825
.20 .893
On the other hand, "difference" is a very ambiguous term. So I did something similar with .60 and.70 from a single gallop. The [#] does the same sort of calculations from only 4 gallops.
.60 .999+ [.974]
.70 .999+ [.992]
So the million dollar question is what does "difference" mean here.

Re: EquiArmor Breeding %?
I would expect roughly a third of the horses you galloped to have given up their gallop piece (based on ~85% of horses needing two pieces, 60% of those having a gallop piece as opposed to a vet piece, and 70% of those coughing up the piece). Did you get close to 33%?Pete Vella wrote: ↑3 years ago Are we sure Equiarmor Training is working?
