So what are your favorite foal names this year?
Now that I've seen the "headscratcher" post and understand how important names can be for some, what are your 3 favorites from your current foal crop? Mine are:
Unstinkable, out of Molly Brown. I'm hoping he takes the hint.
Sugar Beets 'Em All, by Unusual Sugar. Corny, but I had to go there.
Toss Pillows, out of Pillow Time. I like this name because I am a frequent Home Goods shopper. In every Home Goods they have a big hanging sign that says "toss pillows", and a little part of me is always tempted to take that as a complete sentence and obey immediately.

Re: So what are your favorite foal names this year?
Something very crazy and great would be that instead of numbers I would give the gallop report, and so that there would be no problem about this name it is repeated I would say something like this
this son of Skyfall is a Freak Late Bloomer
and if they have twins for the repeated name problem it could be
This son of Skyfall is a Freak Late Boolmer
this second son of Skyfall is a Stakes Late Bloomer
so breeding would be GREAT, you would already know the quality of your foal
and at the end of the year some improvement could be seen, their condition could be Freak Progressive, oh follow LB
all this in the name of the profile. In the main name, the mother's name could appear, so you can have a better control of the names instead of a huge number of numbers

Lost in the Woods is named after my favorite song from Frozen 2, keeping it in the family.
La Vie Boheme is named after one of my favorite songs from my favorite musicals, as is his dam. This is another family with themed names.
And finally, Breath on a Mirror is named after a favorite line from one of my favorite shows. "It all just disappears, doesn't it? Everything you are, gone in a moment. Like breath on a mirror."
Pop culture references all day!

Re: So what are your favorite foal names this year?
Musket Buzz is a favorite. My niece was 3 (now 4) and she was visiting and kept walking around chanting "Musket Buzz". I had no idea what she was talking about. I later found out that she was actually saying "Must Get Buzz" as in Buzz Lightyear.
I recently re-watched every episode of "The League" and the majority of my foals have a name related to the show. Yobagoya is a personal favorite from those.
During that time, I also watched a bunch of old SNL Celebrity Jeopardy skits. From those, I really like Pen Is Mightier and Beaver Brown Band.

Re: So what are your favorite foal names this year?
I have only named six foals so far. The best names are only given to the best gallopers.
My dad beat Jeaux
Name says it all. Proud foal.
Kanchil
Kanchil is a clever deer that fools the evil crocodile every time in our bed time story for our son.
The other four names are pretty boring so I will come back to this post when I found the ultimate name for my best freak..

Probably my stewie colt Shadowkin x Cwtch
Cwtch (pronounced 'kutch', to rhyme with 'butch') is the Welsh word for a cuddle or hug, but it's also so much more than that. Its second meaning is a cubbyhole or cupboard; a small space in which to store things safely.
So I decided to go with Forelsket - describes how you feel when you first begin to fall in love. It's that euphoric feeling of walking on air, when you view your paramour through rose-colored glasses and are convinced that the sun shines out of their posterior.
Also Intoxicating Nighteyes x Twitterpated (Circle of Life)
Arthur Merlin x Divine Alley (Wizard Alley)
Geralt Ransack x I See You (Allonsy)
I named one after my daughter, which was probably foolish lol Isabelle Fearless Spirit x Caroline (Frankel)
I could probably list all my named foals TBH

Brave the Wilderness
by Fearless Spirit-Paramour (Rilian)
This is probably my favorite. foal. EVER. From the pedigree, to the hypo, to the name and the headshot I just adore her. She was named for a line in the song One Foot by WALK THE MOON. Her companion kitty, Juliet, is named for another song by the same band, Shut Up and Dance.
Oh, through the wilderness
How come even together there can be loneliness?
Oh, our heart's a mess
But it's our only defense to brave the wilderness

Re: So what are your favorite foal names this year?
I have lots of names I like in my foals so I'm gonna pick three that jump out of the page.
Ranibow Sprimkle - Silver Tabby Cat x Glaceon. 3x3 Nyan Cat. Don't expect much from this foal tbh, but I find the name amusing. Named after this picture.
Zzyzx - Hot Dog x Inland Empire. Named after a weird place on a map in the California desert that you pass by if you're driving from, say, Bakersfield to Las Vegas. Actually do have some hopes for this one! Both of the mare's foals to date have been stakes gallopers (Pismo Beach is a late bloomer, Half Dome is a progressive).
Dream House - Mr. Wonderful x Lucid. 3rd dam is Sleep to Dream, therefore 4th dam is Wonder. Named after the Deafheaven (black metal/shoegaze band) song that has this incredibly melodramatic lyric (that is screamed, mind you):
"I'm dying"
"Is it blissful?"
"It's like a dream."
"I want to dream."
There's a couple mares I'm retiring after week 16 who will have foals with fun names, too!
