Out of my six yearlings, I got a stakes and an allowance (which means more with the gallop changes), and both are progressive/late bloomer types. So I'm pretty happy. Also have a productive with some chance of improvement.

I bred 62 TBs - I got 2 stakes and a LOT less allowance than usual (assuming this is due to gallop changes lol)

2 Stakes - 3% (TM - Fearless Spirit, TS - Magnificent Jeblar both late bloomers)
9 Allowances - 15%
17 Productive - 27%
11 Solid - 18%
23 Claimer 37%

I love when my blue hens and stars with good hypos give me a bunch of claimers

The TS stakes is out of just a 'good' mare on a flat B hypo and the last time I got a TS stakes out of a 'good' mare that filly went on to win over $800k (and with the old gallop labels) soooo maybe I'll take it :D

From 26 foals I got 2 stakes, including 1 CA Chrome stakes LB out of a 4yo mare that I own outright: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1297784 and a stakes peak colt by I Am Right Here that is also out of one of my mares https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1289246

50% of my foals are LB, but 50% are also claimers and I got 3 DC, or 11.5%. DC were all out of mares I suspected were sketchy, so they will be pensioned. There were 3 breedings I hoped would be the future foundation for my barn, 1 colts and 2 fillies. Of those :

Allowance progressive filly https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1289246
Productive LB filly https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1302768
Productive progressive colt https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1306656

Overall for a first season I think the SIM gods were kind

62 yearlings
16 claimer-25.8%
10 solid-16.1%
16 productive-25.8%
17 allowance-27.4%
2 stakes-3.2%
~Kingdom Come x You Are Not Alone (late bloomer)
~Phenomenal One x Kingsmen (late bloomer)
1 freak-1.6%
~Longbird x Fireproof (late bloomer)

58% productive and better
32.2% allowance and better

Pretty happy to have gotten a freak, and a colt at that which is fun as I usually get the good fillies! Disappointed that there's so many solids and claimers (and that my Steward bred was allowance/peak), but a lot of them look like they will improve so I'm not too fussed right now. It will become more annoying when they turn 2 though, I imagine, and they still haven't improved at that point :P

My ‘no potential’ dirt sprint mare just gave me my only TB stakes yearling gallop of the year??
I only bred the mare because she was fun to race and is full sister to a millionaire. Her first foal was a claimer so I was expecting about the same this time.
Surprise!

Well I had my first dabble at this breeding lark, and being unsure of how it all works , went with a whole big bunch of 3 in total.!!
Not even sure it's worthy of a post but it's nice to join in..
1 x TS colt - stakes l/b
1 x TS fillie - claimer l/b and a chaser...

For Thoroughbreds only

43 bred

2 Freaks: Fury of the Storm (Dave Matthews Band x More Than Anything, same female family as Rathalos) and Meteorite (There There There x Minior, same female family as Antares). Both are late bloomers
7 stakes (3 dirt routers, 3 turf routers, 1 turf sprinter). Mostly progressives, a couple of peak Stewbreds, and one dirt router late bloomer
7 allowances (including a tri-distance turf filly who is progressive)
11 productives
6 solids (including two of my biggest disappointments of the crop)
9 claimers
1 different career who is actually a chaser anyways.

Also had 3 stakes mixers, 2 appies and 1 quarter horse, all sprinters.

All in all, with the new thresholds, I'm really happy with this crop!
I have a stable full of cats

I bred 53 foals for this crop.

1 Freak...Night's Quiet, x Foretold. I named her Rumble of Thunder
1 Stakes... Brilliance x Fortitude, I named her Fire On High (Bonus too...Fortitude was 15 when she foaled her., and lived. So I get another foal from her....she's the dam of Roughian and Mal)

8 Allowance types...and a few are nicely bred...hoping at least one of them will jump up at some point
12 productives
5 solids
22 claimers... again I have some really really nicely bred ones here...and hope a few will jump up to even stakes quality.
4 different careers.

----------

It's nice to know that I have at least 1 freak and 1 stakes coming down the pipeline. Plus for this year, I still have Mal, Roughian and Aloft on the track, with a few 3 year olds doing well, with Leto and Rihanna. The future does not look bleak : )
And Foretold has shown she's a true Blue Hen, giving me a freak with her first foal. : )

Stormy

Pretty successful crop! And extremely diverse - of the 16 freak/stakes in my barn, only two sires have duplicates.

-1 Freak (Happy This Way colt out of Schuylkill)
-15 Stakes (Allonsy, Antares, Ashwinder, Castles Crumble, Circle Of Life, Dancer, Dave Matthews Band, Mr. Wonderful x2, Nighteyes x2, Parts Unknown, Prince Louder, Ridgewood, Steelslayer)
-67 Allowance
